How much do you think Episode II will get opening weekend?

I am thinking $75-90 million opening weekend but the actual results may come lower than that because the film is being released on a Thursday as opposed on a Friday.

A LOT like LOTR figures. but really, I think it'll open with a healthy 60-70M. but it all depends on how many theaters actually support the new style of cameras it needs to play it since only about 20 in the country are equipped

I'll guess $85mil. I predict it won't beat "Harry Potter" because of fallout from "Menace." If it kicks ass, though, it has a shot, as fans will want to see it more than once or even twice that weekend.

Their is NO FUCKING WAY Episode II can make more than Episode I, unless it's really, really, really good. Episode I had HUGE, HUGE hype, everyone was like i gotta see this.
After Episode I, the vast majority of them were turned off, and would not waste their time with Episode II.

Yes it will make more than Fellowships first weekend, but When TTT comes out it will beat whatever ATOC throws out the first weekend. Dvd Hype will make fellowship skyrocket in sales, and after everyone has it on DvD they are definitely gonna be there for LOTR TTT the first weekend. ATOC, I say aroun 95 mil first weekend.

PS---- And don't get me wrong, I love Star Wars and LOTR the same I'm a fanboy of both, and will probably see ATOC at least twice, or three times opening weekend, but unless ATOC is good unlike Phantom menace, LOTR is going to take over, no questions asked.
