Original or remake? If original, then rent it first. If remake, then rent New Nightmare.

You're probley going to get a lot of suggestions for Wes Craven's New Nightmare, but I think it sucked, so go ahead and rent Night of the living dead and make sure it's the 1968 version. After that, check out Dawn of the Dead or Return of the Living Dead.
