My sixty-something aunt, who is the kindest and coolest person I know, really likes this show. Now I've never read the book, but wouldn't it have been better if they just made a movie? Or is there a movie already? I can't remember. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/confused.gif

The book by Stephen King is an absolute gripping read (like all of his early stuff). Yes, they made a pretty good movie of the novel, starring Christopher Walken as Johnny Smith and Herbert Lom as his caring doctor.
I wasn't aware they'd made a TV series of the book, and can't help thinking there's really not enough material in the story to pad out a TV show. But, like all American TV series, it won't get down to Australia for years, so you'll have to tell me what it's like.

okay feyd,Basically it is sort of like the book, with Johnny waking up from a six-year coma and having the strange ability of seeing some one's future after touching them. But otherwise its different. Look in current/upcoming horror movies.I was just over there and there's a topic about Dead Zone there. If I had known sooner I would've posted there instead of posting a new topic.Anyway,it explains things better than I can. Last nights episode was again kind of a "Johnny Detective" story....but is is still a real good show, I guess it's just part of the direction they have to take.....what I really liked is he was sitting on a murder jury, and I liked the way they had him touching fellow jurors and understanding their motivations for their convictions.....
I hear Stillson will make an appearance soon....
