I know its been more than a decade since the remake came out,and bombed. It was popular overseas, and on video. If it would have been a huge success should there have been a sequel? There are so many storys that could be done.It could have been a direct follow-up or a comepletely different story.

Well strangely enough, I sequel is being made. The sequel to the original Night of the Living Dead was Dawn of the Dead.
Dawn of the Dead is now being remade, so I guess I sequel is coming out. I know its not what you mean, but its the best you will get.

If they brought back almost the same exact crew(Director,Cinematographer,Scriptwriter,Lightin g Technician,Editor,The person that did the score,FX artist),then i could see it working in a big way.
Since Savini will have nothing to do with this one,Romero either(from what i've read),i'm still enthusiastic about this one, just not eagerly anticipating it,as i would be if Romero and Savini were.
This could definitely work if someone with an understanding of what made Dawn work so effectively, and who also has a passion for it.

I didn't mind them remaking NOTLD because the original filmmakers came back. George Romero rewrote the screenplay and he asked Tom Savini (who did effects for the original NOTLD) to direct. Therefore, I think that is one of the few worthy remakes.
Dawn of the Dead's will not turn out as good. Since the bad news is they are going for a PG13 rating (I believe I read it). The story is also being changed to have a teen cast. Romero and Savini are not attached to the project at all. Oh well, can't win them all http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

The makers of the "new",Dawn are a bunch of assholes for even considering remaking a classic. The writer did Scooby -Doo for cryin out loud! But if they would get a good director like say Ronnie yu,Ernest Dickerson,Ringo Lam,or Michele Soavi, who could have handle the material that made dawn a classic.A Night remake sequel could be an anthology of zombie tales.i think that would work.
