I'm not a big friday the 13th fan. but.......Does anybody know what state camp crystal lke is in or it dosen't say.

I don't think its location was ever made clear. Someplace in the northeast USA, that's for certain.

It's in Lake Cedar,New Jersey(Essex county,not Wessex, I think), it's called Camp NoBeBoSo for real.

The original F13 was filmed in Blairstown, NJ.

THINGSGOINON is right about the camp.

The town was also used for the filming (Diner scene, etc.)

Wow that was a cool site...my parents took me there the fall of '80 to see it, and I feel just like the guy who wrote that, it really was eerie walking that street, going to that store, and seeing the camp for real....

He was prob wise not to do too much snooping.....we got to go stand on the shores of the lake wich was cool, but after we were spied checking out the cabins we were politely given 5 more minutes and asked to leave. Guess ya can't blame 'em, it is a childrens camp....

Up until 8, Crystal Lake is in New Jersey, Home of the Boss! But somehow in JGtH, it's moved to Conneticit!

Camp Crystal Lake is supposed to take place in New Jersey (as well as being filmed there.)

If you watch Friday part 2, you will notice that Jeff's truck has New Jersey plates on it.
