The Dentist 2: Brace Yourself is decent, but it pales in comparison to the original. The storyline's structure is much more routine and conventional, never striving to be unique. Also, the pace is unnecessarily sluggish. A dreary hour goes by before anything exciting happens. Corbin Bernsen masks the film’s slow pulse with another solid portrayal as everyone’s favorite unstable dentist. He has a couple of key moments of convincing psychosis.

I haven't seen the sequel, but I did see the first half of the first one and I just stopped watching.

It was not entertaining at all. The ONLY thing the movie was trying to do is make people grossed out by all the gore, and it makes for a movie that's very bloody but not fun to watch. Sure, it succeeded in it's goal of making me feel sick, but I just didn't enjoy watching it.

I did see a part of the sequel, but all I could see is more blood and gore so I just stopped watching.

I saw it just a few days ago and while it isn't really all that special, it's still worth watching. Corbin Bensen has a great day in playing Dr. Feinstone and even though he doesn't get much to do (killing wise) the little he gets is surly enjoyable. Gotta disagree with the count for once here, I didn't see Feinstone having any convincing psychosis, for me this flick is more comedy than anything else. I've not seen the first one (banned) but I liked this one quite a bit. I'd say it's worth your time if you can get through the TV-movie like first hour.
