I read yesterday that they are in the beginning stages of making this old TV show from the 80s into a movie. Ever since reading that I have not been able to get the theme song from it out of my head - AUGH!
Anyone else remember this one?

Believe it or not, I'm walking on air -- And have the theme song on my mp3 playlist.
Yes!! I loved this show. William Katts was the best doofy superhero!
Average guy finds a superhero suit that came from outer space. He looses the instruction manual for the suit and cant work it correctly -- Then sets out to fight crime.
Great!

Yeah... I was singing the whole thing last night and my husband thought I'd gone nuts.
I had a band teacher in school who got mistaken for the lead in this ALL the time. Finally for a halloween concert he showed up to conduct in a costume someone made for him of the Greatest American Hero.
The character was so doofy that I think it could make a cute movie if they did it right.
But damn. That song is still in my head. I might have to make my husband grab it for me on mp3 so I can hear it and once and for all get rid of it in my head.... though it's a fun one to sing in the shower.

A little bit of trivia...
The main character, played by William Katt, was originally named Ralph Hinkley. However, when then-President Reagan was shot by John Hinkley, the character's last name was quickly changed to Hanley.
