Well 4 new movies are opening next week! If you can only choose one to see, which one would you see? I wonder which movie will become the new box office champ?

Here's my prediction for next week's box office:

1. Driven
2. Bridget Jones's Diary
3. One Night at McCools
4. Spy Kids
5. Along Came a Spider
6. Crocodile Dundee in LA
7. The Forsaken
8. Town and Country
9. Freddy Got Fingered
10. Kingdom Come

I might be far off, but there ya go /ubb/biggrin.gif

If i can go see one, i'd check out DRIVEN, cuz i haven't seen a good action flick in the theatre for a loooong time /ubb/smile.gif

If I could only see one it would definately be THE FORSAKEN, that movie looks awesome...
I think it will probably be in higher than 7th place, but who knows...

Well, first off, before I make my predictions, how many screens is each new movie opening in and is Bridget Jones' Diary gonna have anymore screens added to it?

Well I dunno, Town and Country aims at audience over 35 years old, and it could be a good thing (cuz PROOF OF LIFE did pretty well), but then the advertising campaign for "One Night at McCool's" is much better though...

Ok, I'll make my predictions...

1. Driven (12 million)
2. Bridget Jones Diary (8.5 million)
3. Town And Country (8 million)
4. The Forsaken (7 million)
5. SpyKids (7 million)
6. Along Came A Spider (6 million)
7. One Night At McCools (6 million)
8. Crocodile Dundee In L.A. (5 million)
9. Freddy Got Fingered (4 million)
10. Blow (3 million)

I wish THE FORSAKEN would do better than that though, I wish it would make a ton of money but I just have a feeling it won't...
I wish they wouldn't have had to open it with so many other new movies, but whatever, it still should do ok... Town And Country has a HUGE budget and I doubt it will make back enough money to even equal what they spent to make it, I do kind of want to see it though, but I'll wait until video... Driven sounds dumb, but looks cool. What I mean by that is that before I saw the trailer for it I thought it sounded stupid, but after seeing it I think it looks cool, and the chicks look hot... They are definately doing a good job of advertising it. I can tell by the previews that it will do good. One Night at McCools looks good too but after reading JoBlo's review I'll wait for video. It's doing an all right job of advertising but I can just tell it won't be a big hit. Maybe if it would have been opening alone or without as much competition it would do better. With no horror choices right now THE FORSAKEN might do better than predicted, but who knows... Usually the ones I think will do good FLOP and the ones I think will flop are HITS... It will be interesting to see how this weekend turns out. Next weekend will be no contest, THE MUMMY RETURNS will be #1 so whatever is #1 this weekend better enjoy it's stay because it won't be there for long...

Ok...

Driven is opening in 2,905 theaters,
Town and Country is opening in 2,222 theaters, The Forsaken is opening in 1,514 theaters, and One Night At McCools is opening in 1,818 theaters...

I would've thought that THE FORSAKEN and One Night At McCools would've opened in at least 2000 theaters... Whatever, this weekends turn out should be interesting...
