I was actually looking for a different link, I found it with my old Haunted Attraction stuff.

Look under the kitchen recipes link just about half way down the first page. Also got to post this recipe from the Master:
Dick Smith's blood recipe:
1 c. White Corn Syrup
1 tbsp. Red Food Color
1 tsp. Yellow Food Color
1 tbsp. Water (this is optional, it makes the blood a little thinner)

I was going to say the same, but izombie has preceded me.
A recipe for fake blood that looks good on film is basically Karo syrup (corn syrup) and red food colouring (veg. col. no. 329, if memory serves).
Theater prop shops sell bottles of fake blood, but they don't look as good on film (too thin and brown).
