Allow me to give my same thoughts that I gave on the possiblity of another Dumb & Dumber movie...

I've been hearing about this for a long time now and I must say this is such great news. Whenever I hear about it my day is made. Baby Genuises was such a brilliant film and the best family movie ever made. If the sequel is even half as good I smell an Oscar. The movie is truly underrated, nobody stops to think about how tough it must have been to get those babies to talk and read those scripts. That took a lot of work and the babies and crew gave it their all. I cannot wait for this sequel. I'm surprised they didn't make a sequel to this critically acclaimed Blockbuster sooner, I know everyone's been waiting for it. People say there's no good movies out, well, Baby Genuises 2 is going to change that. Isn't David Fincher directing? I pretty sure he is. I'd give the first one 10/10 and I'm sure the sequel will be great as well. I just know it will beat the 114.8 Million that Spider-Man opened with, it should open with more in it's first three days than Spider-Man will gross in it's entire theatrical run.

Apparently, Baby Geniuses made a sginifigant amount of money. Ergo, a sequel absolutely must be made. This, my friends, is the sad logic of the Hollywood machine.

In any case, I wish I could say I was surprised, but this is but one in a long list of poor studio decisions. To an executive, sequels=profit, no matter what. And besides, have you ever heard Voight talk about the first one? He's under the impression that it was cinematic genius. So in that light, it was only a matter of time.
