I think its great this film is picking up steam with all the positive reviews its been getting. Most people counted it out because of Ben Affleck's involvement, now it looks like the franchise has been brought back to life.
Its great that the release of this movie is almost coinciding with the release of Tom Clancy's next Jack Ryan novel, 'Red Rabbit', due out in August.
In 'Red Rabbit', young CIA analyst Jack Ryan, fresh off his battles with the IRA and Sean Miller, is helping to debrief a Russian spy. He finds out the Russians are planning to assassinate Pope John Paul II. Ryan must prove this and prevent it from happening.
I think this would be a great premise for Affleck's second Ryan movie. The title stinks though...

I actually got to see a prescreening earlier this week and SOAF is really terrific! I haven't had a chance to read the book yet but have read the others in the Ryan series and have been a big fan for a while. It was really interesting to see Affleck in the role of a young Jack Ryan and he is able to effectively pull it off. You can almost see him maturing into the Harrison Ford Ryan through the course of the film.

Besides Affleck, this film is to intense and fast moving that you are spellbound through the entire movie. I loved it and can't wait to see it again. You guys need to check it out as soon as it comes out so that we can talk about it because I don't know how I'm going to stay spoiler free...its going to kill me! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
