Marvel Films have a lot of comic book movies coming out soon. There is HULK, X2, DAREDEVIL, THE PUNISHER, FANTASTIC FOUR, and THE SILVER SURFER. Do you guys think any of these films will make more than 114 million opening weekend. Here is my breakdown.

HULK is the one with the most chance. It will be a big effects film and Hulk is a big icon. The stars won't push it much, but still it will do good. I still don't see a Spidey opening. It will probably open with 65 million and 245 million final.

X2 will do business like X-MEN did. It should open with a bit more than the original with 62 million and finish with 234 million. It should be a big hit.

DAREDEVIL will not be a big blockbsuter. Actually it will probably be a real challenge to get 100 million. I see a 15 million opening and a 85 million final. It will be a sleeper hit if is does not suck.

THE PUNISHER will bomb bad. Frank is cool, but he lacks the whole amazing quality of Hulk, Wolverine, Spider-Man, The Human Torch, etc. He will not be a family film like Spider-Man. He'll have to be a hardcore R movie. It will bring in adult males and comic geeks(I know I will be there!). I see a 12 million opening and a 54 million final.

FANTASTIC FOUR will also be a huge blockbsuter. They are well known and the movie will be family oriented. If marketed right, it'll bring in a nice 98 million opening and a 324 million(I know I said HULK will be biggest, but I forgot about this baby).

THE SILVER SURFER will be big because kids know him from the 1995 cartoon Fantastic 4. It will make 23 million opening and a 87 million final.

What do you schmoes think?

I think Hulk will have a harder time gettin to 100M since there's been some well-known changes, and like you said, the stars won't push it bad.

Daredevil, I think this'll be the closest to get to SM's business. it has well-known people Ben Afflect, Michael Clarke Duncan, now-famous Jennifer Garner, and some others. hell, Kevin Smith is in it and has been singing its praises recently on his VA site

X2 (assuming it even starts production) will do about the same business as its first movie. it doesn't look like Punisher, Silver Surfer, or F4 will be made anytime soon, so I won't predict that far ahead

I always find it amusing when a movie cashes in money wise people think nothing will ever top it.

The records that Spider-Man earns will not last forever. That is no reflection on the quality of the movie but simple fact.

In the near or distant future some movie will come out that the public has been looking forward to and it will bust all records, then those records will be broken.

But as far as Marvel films go I do not think anything has a chance except of course maybe Spidey 2.

Out.....................

Daredevil will do pretty good in my opinion,i mean not everyone knows of the daredevil character(s) but ben afflecks name and just the fact that its a superhero will draw...i think it will have around maybe a 40-50 million dollar opening weekend and maybe end up with around the $190 million mark, but i cant and dont think making predictions for a movie we havent even seen anything of as far as trailers concerned is right.

The Hulk will do alright,i think it will be maybe a 35-45 million dollar opening...

Fantastic Four ive never known was being made into a movie so i dont know about that, and the punisher can probably pull in maybe 50-65 million dollar total run.

Silver surfer,oh god if they make a movie of silver surfer i will freak that would be the one i want to see most along with a new captain america.but like i said, lets just wait and see.

the hulk: 180 - 220 million

daredevil: 175 - 210 million

you gotta remember... dd will bring in ben affleck fans (men and women), jennifer garner will bring it men and women...plus the DD name will bring in a crapload too.

FF: 180 - 210 million

cap america: wooooo! if this movie was really good and was released around 9-11 it would have made a shit load!

now... 200 - 225 million

X2: hmm... 165 - 195 million

Fantastic Four is being written by Sam Hamm and based on a story by Chris Columbus(director of HARRY POTTER and HOME ALONE). It is directed by, get ready to cringe, Peyton Reed(director of BRING IT ON).

And yes SILVER SURFER will be a great movie. I can't wait to see Galactus on the screen. And CAPTAIN AMERICA will also be awesome.

What do you think about THE PUNISHER? It is being pust on a fast track by Artisian.

the punisher... hmm...

i wouldnt mind seeing that one on the big screen... i think they could do a good job with it, but hopefully they come out with it before max payne cause payne is sort of a rip off of the punisher.

its basically the same character ex. payne doesnt have the skull shirt on.

i tell ya what tho... there would be a few good punishers out there.

tom sizemore would be killer in that role.

the only movie i see beating spidermans records is two towers, theres going to be so much hype around the movie it'll be insane.

X2 will do good, it has some major players in it.

HULK i think will be like sixteh sense where it'll have a decent opening but it will make is money in the long run.

Daredevil i have a feeling won't be that huge, he just doesnt have the same icon status as Spiderman and that story isn't as fantastic. Daredevil will be one of those movies that won't do so great in the theaters but i will have a long life on home video.

Depending on who they cast for Fantastic Four and Silver Surfer, they could be huge. About Peyton Reed directing, remember Mark Steven Johnson directed Simon Burch which really wasnt that amazing.

The Punisher, i dont know about this one. I want to say its going to kick ass, but i know theyre just going to make it a lame action movie. The comic is so amazing, and theyre going to ruin it, i can almost guarantee it. the only person i can see pulling it off is David Chase directing and an unknown in the lead. Tom Sizemore is okay, but i just don't see him as punisher. the only famous guy i can see as punisher is christopher walken, but he's could be a little too old for the role. I would shit my pants if christopher walken was even in that movie.

Go Marvel comics!

Are they going to make a movie out of the maximum clonage story line? because that would be sweet....i'm kidding, that sucked.

I will be seeing them all.

I think Hulk and X2 will do the best.

I also have high hopes that Daredevil will do well. People are eating up these comic book movies right now, and although Daredevil isn't as well known as Spidey, it has plenty of star power behind it, and will probably get big advertising before it comes out. Daredevil will be the one to watch when it comes out.

Bruce Campbell would be the ultimate Frank Castle, but if they MUST go with a more "bankable" actor(you know how those executives think) it should be Tom Cruise(he looks like a damn good action star in MINORITY REPORT) or David Duchovny. I just don't see Tom Sizemore pulling it off. Although I am a big Sizemore hater. His only good role was in BIG TROUBLE.

tom cruise and dave duchovny look too weak for the punisher... hes a gotta be a big, bad, strong ass motha fucka...

btw... brad pitt has expressed interest in becoming steve rogers... or Captain America.
