I just read Stephen King's Dreamcatcher over my holiday's...I know its set to be released in 2003 as a Major film...I was just wondering whether anyone has high hopes for this movie?
I REALLY enjoyed the book, wouldn't put it down til every word was read. I'm hoping the movie does it justice...the cast looks pretty good (although Donnie Wahlberg seems like a strange choice for 'Duddits')

So...opinions?

I think this should make a pretty good movie. They are going to have to cut a lot of the book out though. My only problem is that all though I love Morgan Freeman as an actor, I don't see him in the role of the main military bad guy general. I forget his name because it's been a while since I read the book. Anyway, I felt like he was a racist white asshole when reading it so Morgan would be a strange choice for that. Maybe I am confusing his character with another SK one because I read him a lot. Let me know how you felt about the character. However, I can't wait to see those shit weasels!

Morgan freeman does seem to me like a strange choice for....that guy whose name I can't remember (someone help out!)
Its seemed a strange choice ever since I first heard that he was in it, because I definately think that the character was an Insane Asshole who really did seem racist. Oh well, I'm sure that can be taken care of, with creative liscence.

But I'm sure in the end, he'll put on such a performance that the element of his racism in the book will be overlooked(crosses fingers) Guess only time will tell on that.

Oh and the shit weasel's...I can't wait either...I loved those guys! (kidding) hopefully they remain shit weasel's and don't get turned into something else when the movie comes around.
