Gates of Hell Question

Well I just finished watching Fulci's Gates of Hell and it was surprisingly very good! The acting was kinda cheesy, but what can ya expect? Anywayz...here's what I was confused about.

Why does the lady just start going insane when the little boy runs towards her at the end??

Is it just me, or is that the most annoying ending ever? It's like Fulci started to pull some sort of "Gotcha!" kind of ending, but realized he was out of money, or something.

OMG!!!!! I had the exact same question!!! We rented it a long time ago thinking it was something else and it scared the crap out of me! I finally worked up the courage to see the whole thing, and I did not get the ending at all. When I saw that part I watched it over to see if I missed something but I was still confused. I know this probably didn't help you any but now you know your not alone!!!

I own that movie and the ending is strange like the ending in the beyond,but I still love the Gates of Hell.

LOL I love everyone's messages and now I don't feel alone! Hehehe, I still LOVE the movie a whole lot...I just did NOT understand that ending. Was the kid a zombie? or was that lady just sooo traumatized by the whole event that she just went NUTZO!

the story is, that some dumb ass accidently spilled coffee on the last reel so they didnt have an ending. so all they could do is edit it to look like an ending.
