I recently saw a trailer in the guisse of one for the next batman movie, that was actually for scooby doo. I was dissapointed to say the least. I loved Batman, and Returns, I hung in there for forever, and fucking gave up on Batman and Robin. Now they're starting over, new director(I think)new story, new as fuck. And I can't wait. The only this is I haven't a clue about the movie otherwise. Anyone jnow anything?

Last i heard,Darren Arronofsky(PI,Requiem for a Dream) has been given the helm, and Ben Affleck will star.Almost positive about DA but i'm not so sure about BA.

DA is busy with an underwater sci fi thriller right now about a sunken Nuclear Sub,and a team that;s ent in to investigate. All communication has been cut off,and supposedly there are ghostly elements involved. So,BM is on the back burner until that's completed.

But,with all this SM hype,it could get pushed up sooner.I did'nt want to see another one,but i would like to see how another one would fare against SM,after all i feel Raimi just hacked the first 3 Batman films anyway.

Yes 1 and 2 were, are great, they revolutionized the comic book movie, and brought it into the modern era.I also liked the over the top nature of the 3rd,which surprisingly had some emotional depth with BM's regrets and guilt and all.Plus the FX were great, director's seem to be copying that style alot, and Kidman and Kilmer had some real chemistry.Dunst does'nt come close to Pheiffer,Kidman,or Bassinger.

Ben Affleck, even how much i love this guy, cannot be batman, it just would not be right. How the hell would he be batman and daredevil? I mean it could happen, but....

Your posts are incoherant garbage dellamorte, can't understand anything.

Anyway, Aronofsky isn't directing BELOW, just producing. David Twohy directed it, Darren is working on preping THE LAST MAN with Brad Pitt & Cate Blanchett. After that he'll do BATMAN: YEAR ONE I guess and no one has been cast yet, not your buddy Ben Asslick or anyone else.. just rumours now.

Thanks for your time.

I think the batman frahnchise definitely needs a revival after what batman & robin did to it. aronofsky is a great director so i think year 1 could be really badass. also, i've heard there's talk about making a batman beyond movie, which i guess would be based off the recent cartoon/comic. either one would make my day

Affleck is'nt my Buddy,i just heard/read that he was being considered. If he is signed to do DD,it looks like he's out of the running.I don't care either way who stars,so long as it has a strong narrative and terrific fx.

I would really like to see Batman go up against the SM sequel in 2 years, head to head, mano to mano, and then we can see who the real comic book hero champ is.

I doubt it would happen, though, studios avoid competing directly with other "Blockbusters".In this instance,i would hope they make an exception, and open them up on the same weekend.

If you did'nt understand that,i'll write it in Phoenician next time.

And,you spelled incoherant wrong,or was that on purpose(incoherent).Plus, read my post again,i never said Arronofsky was directing that sub picture,i only wrote that he was busy with something else right now.

Yeeeesssss! That would be awesome to say the least! I currently have an argument w/ my brain washed friends over who's better. We know and affirm that it's childish and lame but come on...spiderman over batman? I think not.

BTW Who do you guys think should play a slightly younger batman? Well I can tell you who wouldn't be a good pick: BILL COSBY! Ya gEt THe pUddiNg! And Then I'm Vengence I am the Night, I am BATMAN!
J E L L O! Or Christipher walken! Alfred My...good man, please make me a costume...if you'd...be so kind. Come on...dis guy he killed my dad!

Or woody allen! You can picture it.

Or JOE PESCI!

Whatever, anyway I can't think of anyone...can you?
