I onced watched a movie from 1960, it was Black and Whitem and it was about Zombies but now I just went to Arrow's Reviews and clicked on "Night Of The Living Dead" thinking it was the one I saw. And It actually turns out to be a Different movie "1990" what's the deal? is this a Remake?

Yes, that is the 1990 remake directed by Tom Savini. Definitely one of the better remakes floating around out there. Sticks pretty close to the original with only minor differences. If you dug the original, then you should definitely give this a look see.

I liked the original but I thought Savini did a much better job with the remake. Good feel of claustrophobia and unease. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I'm a little surprised that the remake seems to be the Horror Schmoes' preferred version. I remember going to see it in the theatre and being simultaneously bored by and pissed off at it.

*SPOILERS*

This material clearly worked better in B&W. The low budget, grainy film stock of the original is still chilling, while the cheesy color remake highlighted the bad makeup and blah location. And how dare they change the ending - the best thing about the original!

Since I haven't seen it since its release in 1990, that's all I recall about it now. But I haven't forgotten the angry disappointment I felt when the plot veered away from the original.
