I just saw Zombie for the first time. I bought the dvd for $12 based off of the recommendations I've read from fans of the film on this board. After viewing it twice I can honestly say that Lucio Fulci's Zombie sucks monkey cock. That had to be one of the worst Zombie films ever made! I know it must be horrifying to see a rotted corps walking towards you, but jesus christ, the Zombies are just walking... and slowly. The assclowns in this movies practically stand there and let themselves die, at least try to avoid being eaten. And whats with the topless, thong wearing scuba diver. what a poor excuse to show some skin. Who does that? The shark vs Zombie scene was original though. ridiculous, but original. I haven't seen any other Fulci flicks, and I doubt I will. Especially after reading some of the glowing reviews a few of you jabronis are giving that hack directors work. Fulci can lick the underside of my bean-bag after a good 3 mile jog. I'm out!

as usual, people that dont get italian horror insulting it. its not about plot as i have said a billion times, its atmosphere. never expect plot from an italian horror movie, thats not the point of them. thier artsy looking and full of eerie atmoshpere, that is the point of them. not plot or acting or dialog. atmoshpere.

The splinter scene remains the only time i've had to turn away from a tv screen during a movie. My girlfriend loved it though... http://www.joblo.com/ubb/eek.gif

I gotta agree with trouble13 this movie was dumb/boring. I spent most of the movie apologizing to my friend
"Sorry dude, I heard that it was good!"
"I can't believe you invited me over to see this. Do you hate me or something!?!"
I did think that the last 15 minutes were pretty good, but it was too late.
Yes that "splinter scene" was pretty rough...ouch!
