MINOR SPOILERS I SPOSE

This question probably has a pretty simple answer, but what the fuck was with F. Murray Abraham's character? In the opening scene he is shown as killed by a ghost but he comes back like in an hour into the movie with blood around his neck and seems perfectly fine. Did he fake his death or something? Then why did he have blood round his neck? I mean you'd probably wanna clean it up before going back to your house. It really confused me. Can someone tell me WTF happened?

He was faking it so that that dude would become the 13th ghost. I dident find it hard to follow

Matthew Lillard wasn't the 13th Ghost, it was that other guy, can't remember his name but he played Jeebs in MIB.

Wasn't the 13th ghost Antonio from wings? Or was that the 14th, i really haven't seen this in ahwile.

The 13th Ghost was suppose to be the guy from Wings, yes. His heart was broken, and the 13th ghost had to be someone with a broken heart so that the gates of Hell could be opened.

yes, the dad was the thirteenth ghost because it had to be the guy that sacrificed his life out of pure love, the dad was gonna dop that to save his kids, but then they threw cyrus in there.

Yeah, If Matthew Lillard WAS the 13th ghost, the ocularis infernus would had opened...and it didn't...he just...died...

That was so unfair I started to like Matthew Lillard's character, Dennis I think he was called? Anyways I didn't like it when he died, poor soul.
