one word: DAMN!
This was one of the three best horror movies I have ever seen, with Dawn of the Dead and Donnie Darko. Awesome directing by Hooper and I loved the atmosphere. I purposely stayed away from all the spoilers for this and was very pleased with the outcome. Simply amazing movie. Definite Classic.

Yeah, it has that raw gritty feel of a 70's movie that I think works well as a horror movie. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Scary....a little...I jumped a couple a times
and the atmosphere is so off the wall!
A grrrrrreat flick, too bad "The Next Generation" was made...
A film that surpasses even the great Halloween in terms of milieu (At least imho). Visceral, deranged, and brimming with madness; This is easily one of the greatest horror films created. The sense of isolation, claustrophobia, and insanity earn this film the classic status that it deserves.

One if not the most atmospheric film I have ever seen it was as if Sally was actualy going insane at the meal scene. The whole film you got this feeling that the grouped was some how trapped weather it be the small interior of the van or the grizly interior of the house. The grainy affect used also for some reason made the film seem more realistic like it had actualy happend. Defeinetly one of the best horror films ever made. I watched this one with my mum once lol even she liked it http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

Haha, Per contra, I've always been a linguist (I love written and spoken language), Though mastering the sesquipedalian idiom I speak has been pretty arduous.
Thank you for the acknowledgment however; and I'm glad you enjoyed this horror classic.

Not to discredit you in any way. I just find your manner of speaking funny for a horror message board and I am glad to say that I know what most of the words you use mean!
Haha, Thanks, I do find some jocosity in it as well..
Though, as a whole, I find horror fans to be some of the most intelligent and worthwhile people on the planet, God bless us http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif.

Truth be told, I'm actually a newly converted after I started dating my girlfriend about a year ago. She started me out on old school stuff like Dracula with Legosi and Creature of the Black Lagoon. Now anything is in our realm of watching, regardless of how fucked up it may be. She's definitely a keeper, wouldn't you agree?

I believe you mean "sequipedalian" and "arduous"? Oh, and "dissapiating" isn't a word, I'd assume you mean "dissipating".
I apologise wholeheartedly and unreservedly for feeling obliged to ameliorate your vernacular, however the sight of an individual endeavouring to galvanise my fellow familiars via the use of a Thesaurus should be au courant to the fact that I also happen to be a notorious linguist.
