Another Horror Movie Idea By Psycho Path!

If you were here long enough,most of the schmoes know I love planning horror movies to make! My latest one is on a creepy little myth named "The Jersey Devil" by most.

It will be taking place way back in the 1800s,in the Pine Barrens in New Jersey.(Or whatever)

Plot: In the 1700s in the old Pine Barrens,Mother Leeds(As they call her)had a baby. But it was so hideously deformed and ate her other children and her,and flew out the window. Some people say that the child still haunts the area,and in 1870,4 teenagers go there,and didnt escape...This is their story...

I know it sounds kinda dumb,but in my mind,I could make this film really happen! With the right lighting,the deadly,creepy atmosphere,some scary P.O.V.S,and the monster itself,this could really work! I already made a pic of the poster art.
And am thinking up a title. My first was "LEGEND OF THE JERSEY DEVIL"then"WHEN THE CANDLES GO OUT"

Does it sound good or should i push it aside for now or think up a different plot?

I have been fascinated with this modern-day urban legend of sorts since I saw the episode of the same name of THE X FILES, as well as a "real-life" account of the creature on Fox Family's THE WORLD'S SCARIEST PLACES in 2000.

Sam,I agree about not showing the devil. Although a 2 second freaky,knock-out shot at the end would be sweet! I have many designs/ideas for what the Jersey Devil could look like! Ill stick to atmosphere if I do make it because I am planning on bieng a director in a few years and making tons of cool horror-flicks(No matter how hard it is,i will try to succeed.)

And Antonio,that Jersey Devil thing on FOX was some scary shite!!

I've heard about the movie THE LAST BROADCAST, which attempted to depict this legend....has anyone seen it? Is it worth the price of a video rental?

By Arrows review,I dont think it will be that great. I have seen mixed reviews for it.

I had a great idea today, in fact it was so great I had to copywright it incase anyone here tries to steal it. The idea was for someone wearing a mask to go around killing off a group of teenagers one by one in different ways. This idea will make me a millionair.

I have been working on a myth based horror novel for sometime now.
THE JERSEY DEVIL has a great amount of potential treat your idea right psychopath and I think you could have a winner on your hands here.
I love myth/legend horror and if you need any information on this JERSEY DEVIL I could e-mail lots of helpful facts on him.
He's quite grizzly y'know.

I'm also working on poster designs...My first showed a wierd,dead animal with its clawed hand ripped through a newspaper,with a pic of the Shroud House with a creepy little silhouette coming out of the bushes(you know who!)with a candle behind the house with wind blowing against it making it look as if it was going to go out.
It was bizzarre,and people thought it looked creepy and twisted...It had my old title,"When the candles go out"(Which either sounds good by some,and lame by others)and two taglines which were kind of crappy. Any info on this myth would be spectacular!

I heard on some show that the woman that had the Jersey Devil was in alot of pain while in birth and she yelled out loud , "AHH , LET THIS ONE BE THE DEVIL!" And it came out , killed every 1 in the room and flew out the window. Her wish had come true , it was the Devil.

I hate to tell you this man, but I was IMDb the other day and they said that the ledgend of Jersey Devil is being made into a film called "The 13th Child" or something like that. Oscar winner Cliff Robertson (who played Peter Parker's Uncle in Spider-man) is starring in the leading role and also co-writing the script as well.
