Ok,I just read the review for F-13 Part 7 and Part 8. It only took me 10 secs to read becuase there was jack shit to read. I mean arrow stats that there was only a good transfer and audio quality. I mean damn,no extras,so they make a different cover and fuck us over again. Maby I am missing something, but when did these new cover dvds come out?

you mean, you were actually expecting something in the extras?

Like I've said many times if you like the movie buy the DVD for the movie and not the extras.

Ya,but when they charge 30 bucks it would be nice to see something extra. I mean at least a trailer.

Yeah they are a fukcing gyp. However if you want a good deal try Circuit City. I found F13 2 there for only $15. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
My point exactly ICP. Yes, it's nice to have the better movie quality that a DVD offers, but if you're going to charge 2-3 times more for that DVD as opposed to the same movie on VHS, there had better be something more than JUST the movie and language options. I've seen other DVD's chock full of extras(There's Nothing Out There comes to mind), that cost less than what the natural born rip-off artists(a.k.a. Paramount) have been charging for a bare-bones DVD. It's an insult to horror fans.

Well I kinda thought they would bring in some new extras. But no,they out did themselfes by not even putting on a trailer. Like what the fuck, they try to sucker us into buying them because of the new covers, but then they give us jack shit inside. And Kaos said it so perfectly

I agree, I refuse to upgrade my F13TH collection to DVD unless Paramount gives me a good incentive, something they have miserably failed in so far.

What do you have against a company actually putting forth a bit of effort and offering the fans a DVD package that is as comprehensive as possible? Obviously you aren't going to buy the DVD if you don't like the film, but that has nothing to do with the decision on whether or not to include extras.
Are you telling me that you don't enjoy watching documentaries about your favorite fims? Perhaps deleted scenes? Interviews with those involved? Photo & artwork galleries? etc...
The reason people want extras is because that they do love the film. And clearly from a marketing standpoint, you have to offer the consumer something they don't already have. Throwing a film out on DVD, that is over a decade old, with no special incentives at all - is a weak effort at best.
Give us a reason to go out and pick up the disc.
If extras cannot be inluded, then at least sell it for a reasonable price. Expecting us to pay 25 dollars for a DVD with nothing but the film is asking far too much. Sell a bare-bones disc for around 10-15 dollars and maybe you're onto something.

Like i didnt see it coming 4 months ago when Paramount "AKA Hitlers third reich movie studio" announced the dvd release list for september. They like pooping on us horror fans and we still buy their stuff. Well i boycotted this last bunch. it was hard to do because I love the movies but for 26 bucks they can kiss my pale white ass.

damn XX, i need a dictionary with me to read your posts http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
look at some of MGM's dvd's, like phantasm or even last house on the left, 10-12 bucks and loaded with extras. maybe not the best qualitly transfers, but at least you really get something when you buy one of thier dvd's. some of thiers have nothing extra-wise but for the price, it doesnt matter so much.
Hehe, I apologize, Good points you make btw.

Not that this is on topic or anything, but I recently received my new phone book, and guess who's in it?
No big deal, I realize, but Herb Stempel apparently still resides in nearby Forest Hills, Queens.
(Herb Stempel was John Turturro's real-life character in Quiz Show, for those who care...)
What was this thread about again? Oh yeah, Paramount. They suck! The only two Paramount DVDs I have are Soapdish and 200 Cigarettes, and that's only because I didn't have to pay for them. Paramount sucks the sweat off a dead donkey's balls. Fuck 'em.

Ok we are all pissed because Paramount screws us on F13 dvds but I actually have a few paramount dvds I am happy with (Wonderboys,Payback)so I can't totally bash
them, and I highly doubt they are going to sell the rights to F13 series so I guess all we can do is sit back and watch Paramount executives get torn apart by rabid Vorhess fans across the world...

Yeah, but Wonderboys and Payback are respectable in Paramounts eyes. They think of the Friday series as trash, even though the 1st one saved the studio.
