What does everyone think of the Freddy Vs. Jason project? I've read two of the rejected scripts and disliked both. I didn't enjoy the script that made both pawns in the armageddon, and I HATED the draft recently posted on Fridaythe13thfilms.com

I mean, for instance, THEY MAKE JASON A FUCKING GOOD GUY!! I may not be a Friday the 13th fan, but the series has values and you just can't do that. I mean, Jason actually gets tricked by Freddy because he tries to save the main human character! Hello?!?! Anyone seen Friday the 13th 2 - 9??

Speaking of those, they're just movies in the script. Pamela Voorhees never hacked up people in Crystal Lake; she died in '68 of Ovarian Cancer. K....

Honestly though, and Freddy only has like 15 minutes of "screentime". He invades Ruby Jarvis' dream for some reason (Why? We dunno...), gets into Jason's dream after the cops put him under (Which is another thing in itself), creates a giant traffic jam, and then he fights Jason in an Elm Street mall. Big fuckin' deal.

Anyway, the funniest aspect of the script has got to be the fact that they want to Try Jason Voorhees. Yep, there are scenes with him in a courtroom with a Judge talking. This retains that Friday essence, huh?

ANTBond007's "Jason Vs. Freddy" script review: 4/10

Oh, and on a Jason X sidenote, it's gonna be fuckin' hilarious when Jason gets a hard-on.

I think the future movie was doomed from the get go. Think about it: 2 famous (but extremely ridiculous) horror villians square off in a battle. Think really hard and you will understand that no matter how good of a screenplay you got, it is just a stupid idea.

I know the idea was on a lot of peoples minds so they thought it would be a good idea to make a movie out of this. Like a guilty pleasure. Its like if you were a comic book geek, most of you would probably pay to see the X-Men characters go against Batman and his team or (my favorite) Spawn and all of the creatures.

Bottom line is I still think a movie shouldn't be contrived in all of this bullshit. But it's probably gonna sell well so we'll see more of this in time (famous hollywood villian vs. famous hollywood villian).

we all know that this, if it does finally end up in the theatres, with all the rewrites and thrown scripts and all, that it is going to be so cheesey, but :sigh: :groan: :embarassed look: I will probably go and see it in the theatre just because it is Freddy and Jason... that is where the filmakers luck out I think. NO matter how bad or cheesey it may sound, hard core and even not so hard core Freddy and Jason fans will shell out their $5 bills to go see exactly what the heck these writers and directors did to their super-villains...and sadly, I will probably be one of them...

All I have to say is don't do it unless you have a damm good script.Which i don't think is possible.

I recently read that the screenwriter of The Cell had signed on to write the screenplay for Freddy Vs Jason. Robert Englund has had a "desire to see the FREDDY VS. JASON film delve into the psyche of Jason." The Cell writer has the "obvious talent at exploring such material (clearly evident in THE CELL)." <----horroronline.com
Personally I think it would be an interesting concept.

They should let Peter Jackson do it,
it would be hell of a bloodbath.Let them work together. Freddy has known Pamela Voorhees!!!! Ooops I told the little secret.

I read the JASON on trial script and thought it was pretty ridiculous. However it was a fun read just not something that I would like to see made into a movie. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

The script has already been written and the movie is done, so Peter Jackson can't write the script!!!

Well, I've read the shooting script.

Should I write "Freddy Vs. Jason Vs. Screenwriters 2"? ;)
