Freddy vs. Jason could be a really good flick if they did it right. Do I think it's going to be a good movie? I don't really know. Will I be there to see it in theaters when it comes out? You bet ya! This would be one that I wouldn't miss. You have two of the most evil guys in horror movies squaring off,to most any horror fan's that makes this movie a must see. It's bound to be as gory as helland hopefully kick ass,or it's going to be good cheese. Either way I'm happy... I just hope that they get it out of limbo and get it going.

I would love for it to be dark and grim. But I have a feeling its gonna be light and funny. At a certain point they wanted to slap the Wayans brothers in there. A kind of Abott and Costello meets Frankenstein vibe.

Knowing the studios and their greed I think the flick will be made as soft and mainstream as possible to reach a wide audience. Lets just hope Im wrong...

I have a script by Peter Briggs that was apparently being considered, but has since been rejected by the studio after I'd read it in the mid-90s (it even includes scenes form "New Nightmare!")

Pluses: It's very dark, serious, and is low on the humor quotient; starts off intriguingly in the 17th century; does a valiant job off bringing the two mythos together without completely destroying logic.

Minuses: the plot is a little shaggy; Freddy and Jason don't even fight until about the last third; then team up to fight the devil (!). Spectacular, yet kinda lame.

I tell you, though, I would rather see this one than one with the Wayans Bros. Yee!
