Freddy or Jason?

Freddy Kruger is usually placed in the same catogory as Jason. Im wondering which one you guys think are better?

That's a tough one...early Freddy is way cool and beats Jas (in my opinion) but late Freddy (4-5-6) blows...

I guess Jason wins cause the only movie he sucked in was Jason Goes To Hell...I do love Freddy though...

Before I make a decision, could you clarify for me what you mean by "which one you guys think are better?" I'll definitely say that the Nightmare movies are better than the Friday movies.

Jason Voorhees rules, Plain and Simple.

Right up to Part 9: Jason Goes to Hell (which I still pretend never existed), Jason was an all-out killing machine. No motive, no reason, just an unquenchable thirst for blood. He never strayed from that mindset, nor was he ever portrayed as anything but.

Freddy Krueger, on the other hand, made an almost immediate jump from deranged dream killer to idiotic one-liner delivery boy. His killings were just retarded by nature, and he never once brought a grin to this Gorehound's ugly face.

I await the Freddy vs Jason movie, although I'm sure I'll be disappointed to see that it will probably more along the lines of a Scream-type trendy flick, neglecting the integrities of both infamous characters.
