A tie: "Battlefield Earth" (it was horrific to me) and "Blair Witch 2" (come on Arrow, it made NO sense!).

By far The St Francisville Experiment. What a piece of shite! Bless The Child and Urban Garbage follow closely.
Blair Witch 2 made sense to me dude, I loved that movie!

You know, "Battlefield Earth" was doubtlessly the most inept movie of the year, but I really can't say it was the worst. Let me explain. If the point of a movie is to entertain you, and you're entertained, then it succeeds on a certain level, doesn't it? "BE" entertained me, although not precisely in the way it intended to, sort of like "Maximum Overdrive" (although I think "MO" knew what it was doing better than "BE").

I saw Battlefield Earth before all the negative hyp came out. I had nothing to influence my review one way or the other> I can't wait to see it again to find out if I was off the mark or not (in respect to my personnal tastes). Cause when I saw it I had a blast...even though the script had way too many plot holes.

"Way too many plot holes"? An understatement, my friend. Every single decision the characters made was stupid and not well-thought out (sure, Barry Pepper, go ahead and think your little speech won't make the 9-foot alien crush your skull after giving him YOUR GUN!).
"Battlefield Earth" is only the second worst movie of the year for me. Nothing can compare to the utter hideousness of "3 Strikes"...

Worst horror movie of Y2K has got to be Hellraiser: Inferno. I'll never look at Pinhead the same way again.

The worst movie for me was...CUT....a complete watse of two hours. What could have been a great australian slasher flick was turned into a cheap b-grade scream wanabe.
THIS MOVIE IS COMPLETE AND UTTER SHIT.

Yeah, BATTLEFEILD EARTH was a crappy movie. I was working at a movie theater when it was out and walked out with 10 minutes left. I just didn't care anymore
My other worse of the worse are......
THE IN-CROWD: I know, it's more of a teen thriller, but if people can list B.E., then I can list IN-CROWD. What a snoozer that was.
BLAIR WITCH 2: Ugh!
HOLLOW MAN: This isn't horror, it's nothing but lame ass action that we've seen over and over again mixed in with soft core porn. Usually it would be something I would enjoy on a high level, but not with this pile of crap. Also, everyone was raving over the special effects and how great they were. Please! It's been done a million times. I mean the invisible rape scene was done back in the 80's with a little movie called THE ENTITY. and the water covering the invisible man was done in MEMORIES OF AN INVISIBLE MAN. I would list other movies the effects can be seen in, but I'm not going to waste my time.
THE WATCHER: Woah! I'm a killer. Dude!
Amrican pysco, it was the worst film i ever saw

Oh, thank God someone listed Cut. Not only was this the worst horror film I've ever seen, it was the worst movie I've ever seen in my lifetime - and ever will. I won't even start to go into the bad badness but, to sum it all up, it's two hours of pure arse that I'll always regret wasting my life on.

Alomost every horror flick of 2000 was terrible, they just don't make them like they used to. To name a few, Urban Legends, Lost Souls and Definetly Blair Witch 2 (there was no book of shadows or any reference to it in the entire movie!) American Psycho and the Exorsist werer extrordinary though!!!

Worst theatrical (that I saw anyway, haven't seen BLESS THE KID or LOST SOULS):
URBAN LEGEND 2
Honorable mention--THE IN CROWD
and BLAIR WITCH 2--not the most horrible film, I thought the weird stuff was creepy and cool like that little girl, but not so hot...
Worst straight to video (much worse than LEGEND)
BLOODY MURDER

I'll get crap for this but who cares, it's my opinion. I'd have to say AMERICAN PSYCHO, I just didn't like it, I thought it sucked big time...
The other is a straight to video movie that isn't even really a horror movie, but I'm going to list it anyway... JACK FROST 2...
Horibble movie.
The Ninth Gate: It started out good but it went downhill fast and the ending sucked...
It still kept me a little interested but once it was over I was pissed, I really didn't enjoy the ending...
I haven't seen LOST SOULS yet but I want to, I've heard it's really good.
I liked Blair Witch 2 (I liked it a lot)!!!
I liked Bless The Child (I thought it was pretty cool)!!!
The Exorcist (I thought this movie was horrible, very boring and not a scary moment, I don't know what drug everyone else took before they saw it)!!!
The Watcher (I liked it)!!!
Urban Legend 2 (This movie was not that bad at all, I've seen a lot worse, like American Psycho and The Excorcist)!!!
Hollow Man (Not much to the plot but I thought it was cool, the gore was neat and I loved the special effects. The only problem is the shortage in plot, what was his reason for killing everyone, and don't give me that, he was tired of being cooped up and went crazy crap)!!! Anyway, I still liked it...
Can't think of anything else right now...
Oh wait, THE PERFECT STORM, not a horror movie but a bad movie, I hated it and didn't like any of the characters and couldn't wait until the wave came and killed them so I could go home...

CUT and THEY NEST come to mind.
Bless the Child and Urban Legends are tied.
Neither one was the least bit scary and both had just ENORMOUS plot holes. Especially Bless the Child.
I thought Lost Souls was okay up until the anti-climactic climax.
ROCKY IS COOL

id ahve to agree that most of the movies made in y2k sucked, but if i had to pick one it would have to be blair witch2.
