I think I'm going to have to disagree with you there about those three Bond movies. Goldeneye is one of my personal faves, a definite 8/10. Tomorrow Never Dies wasn't bad. I'd give it around a 7/10. Same with World Is Not Enough. I've seen every single Bond movie and I can't say I was disappointed with any of them, except for maybe From Russia With Love: it was good, but it seemed more like a political drama than a real action/adventure Bond film, which is what his movies are marketed as. Die Another Day, although I haven't heard a whole lot on it, will probably be another good Bond fix to tide me over until Bond 21 hits theatres.

I have yet to see a Bond film the whole way through, but the parts I have seen are great. With Alias, I've become extremely interested in spy thrillers, so this weekend I plan to check out some of the Bond flicks. Anyway the trailer for Die Another Day was slick. I loved the poster, and the teaser is just like a moving version of it, so I loved it. Should be a fun, interesting flick.

Just let one of the resident Bond geeks step into this thread for the moment. And by geek I mean moi.
Bond has always been good, though the books seem to be oh so much better than some of the movies. "Goldeneye" brought back out from his dark slumber and put the number "007" back ont he map. I give GE a 8 out of 10. TND was where Bond fans, some anyway, felt turned off. It had a good plot, but it was utilized horribly. The sets are crap (nearly all metallic if you bother to notice) and nearly all action. Definitely not Bond, but still an average flick. I give that 7 out of 10. Then we have TWINE. Writers Neal Purvis and Robert Wade brought back the stories of the 1960's - up, above, and beyond the norm. Loved every second of it. An easy 8 out of 10.
But for DAD - that trailer blew me away! Lee Tamahori is gonna make DAD as good as Goldfinger or From Russia With Love. I give the trailer a 9 out of 10 and I cannot wait for the next trailer. Go to CommanderBond.Net for all your details. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/smile.gif

How anyone could call TWINE better than GoldenEye is beyond me,THAT WAS THE WORST BOND FLICK! Michael Caton Jones aint got nothin on Martin Campbell when it comes to action!

I am a 007 fan and my favorite film is TOMMOROW NEVER DIES. I think the teaser is cool and Halle Berry is going to be one cool Bond Girl. And if it sucks, it'll never be as bad as Dr. No.

I'm a huge 007 fan and love all the movies (except for the unofficial embarrasement: Never Say Never Again). Here's how I'd rate the Bond movies out of four stars.
Dr. No (***)
From Russia With Love (****)
Goldfinger (****)
Thunderball (***1/2)
You Only Live Twice (**1/2)
On Her Majesty's Secret Service (***)
Diamonds Are Forever (**)
Live & Let Die (***)
The Man With The Golden Gun (*1/2)
The Spy Who Loved Me (****)
Moonraker (**)
Octopussy (***)
For Your Eyes Only (****)
A View To A Kill (*1/2)
The Living Daylights (**1/2)
License To Kill (**)
Goldeneye (***)
Tomorrow Never Dies (**1/2)
The World Is Not Enough (****)
By the way - from what I've seen so far, DIE ANOTHER DAY looks to be the best Bond film in years, and easily Pierce Brosnan's best outing as 007. I can't wait to see this one!

You're thinking of Michael Apted but it doesn't really matter. I happen to agree with Moviefreek, that TWINE is better than GE. And remember, everyone is allowed to have their own opinions.
This Bond film does look awesome. I enjoyed the past three (although not nearly as much as the Connery originals) but this one looks better than those. Lookin' good!
Goldeneye: 7/10
Tomorrow Never Dies: 6/10
The World is not Enough: 8/10

Lee Tamahori tries with Die Another Day to capture both old bond-athomsphere and cult as well as modern special effects. Look at Halle Berry in her gorgeous bikini and look at some older bond girl in the same bikini (harry knowles said that, too!) thats so cool. I think DAD will be so cool.
And: Hally Berry is so sexy, I'd watch every movie where she's in ;-)

I personally loved The World Is Not Enough. It made Bond a very interesting and human character. Save for Denise Richards' Dr. Christmas Jones, all of the characters were well-rounded and interesting.
Die Another Day looks to have the atmosphere of GoldenEye (which ws superb) and a story as stong as TWINE (it is from the same duo of writers, after all). I'm there.
My Ratings for the Brosnan Three:
GoldenEye -- 8/10
Tomorrow Never Dies -- 6/10
The World Is Not Enough -- 8/10
Im not a real bond-fan but this one looks pretty intresting and Halle Berry makes it even more so. I wouldn't wanna miss it but I dont think it will be alot better than the previous bond movies. I mean, bond is always bond. No better, no worse.
