Hmmm They're all pretty bad... but I'd have to say Halloween 3. I haven't seen Bride of Chucky so i can't say anything against that.

HALLOWEEN 3 wasn't meant to live up to the original! It was meant to be a totally different movie - so you can't compare it to HALLOWEEN, it stands on it's own as a decent little horror flick. The mistake the producers made was calling it HALLOWEEN 3 - making people think that MICHAEL MYERS is in it. That's why so many rebel against this movie. It should've just been called SEASON OF THE WITCH.

P.S. THE RAGE:CARRIE 2 ROCKS - I prefer it to the original (better characters, better death scenes, better motive for revenge, the whole movie looked better!)

I too perfer Carrie 2 to Carrie. Nice judgement. Anyway, Halloween 2 IS still a sequel, and im not saying it sucked because it didnt have Myers in it. Im saying it sucked because i think it just sucked. it wasnt that good of a movie. the acting, music, script, they're just not good. at least thats what i think. you probly know this, but j.carpenter's original idea was to have halloween be a non-related series of movies. I love that idea. If only he could make them all the same quality as halloween was that would've ROCKED! But unfortunately, after Halloween III's failure to get support for his idea, it was dropped. Oh well, those are my views.

I loved The Rage: Carrie 2, I own it. I hated the first one, it sucked majorly, but the second rocked.
I also loved Bride Of Chucky, it was so funny and the best of the series. It was just awesome, and I hope they still plan on making Seed Of Chucky, last I heard was that it was canned. Bride Of Chucky can be seen purely as a comedy, plus Katherine Heigl was hot in it.
Also, I enjoyed Urban Legend 2, it wasn't that bad. I know it wasn't anything new, but it was fun to watch.

I agree, Jason Goes To Hell was horrible...
I don't if anyone actually liked it...

Bride of Chucky is a fun ride, I liked The rage and the first carrie, Halloween 3 was never going to live up to the first two without Mikey but it is pretty solid if you watch it without thinking of it as a halloween sequel. I liked Halloween 6. I didn't like the idea of Jason being able to trade bodies in Jason Goes to hell but it is a fun ride, I agree with those Prom Night sequels. I have all those films.
I couple of sequels I didn't care for are basket case 2 and 3, and the howling sequels, and the texas chainsaw massacre 4.
Thats my opinion for what its worth......

Oh man how could I forget to mention TCM 4. I HATE that movie! Argh. WORST sequel EVER. I haven't found someone who likes that film yet, but I'm sure I will one day. Meanwhile, it seems nearly everyone (including me) likes Carrie 2 better than the original. Interesting.

this will get people going, everyone will be on my back once I say that I actually liked Texas Chainsaw Massacre 4. But this is probably because I never saw the first one and I saw some of either part 2 or 3, I can't remember which one. But I didn't see all of it and don't really remember anything from it except that their was an ant eater thing (I think) crossing the road during the day in it. Anyway, since I didn't really see the
others in the series and basically just number 4, that's probably why I liked it. Plus I like Renee Zellweger... Anyway, I didn't think it was that bad. Don't be too hard on me.

Hey you guys don't know me, but I'm 14 years old, and a big time horor movie fan. Anyway, I gotta say that I am a huge Elm Street fan, and I thought that the 6th one was cool. I happened to enjoy the fact that Freddy cracked a lot of jokes (even if they weren't all funny). I haven't seen any of the Friday sequels because I thought the first one was an overrated sack of shit. I also have seen no Jaws or Halloween sequels, and I don't know what Shock Treatment is...what is it?

I must admit that I Still Know... sucked ass, as did Fright Night 2...not that the original was even close to being good. Same with all the Leprachaun sequels. (I happened to catch In Space and In The Hood on TV...that's moviemaking at its worst). I've been thinking about renting The Rage, but I've never got around to it. I definitely will if there's a "gratuitous nudity" scene like there was in the locker room scene in the first one (yum yum).

I thought of another with Pet Sematary 2 riding the success of the first, and landing the Termanitor kid, and turning it into a huge gorefest, it still was very bad.....

Green makes a valid point.There is a group that likes a little nudity in a horror movie.They go together like a salad with a pizza.It makes the whole experience better.Go check out those 70's horror movies.You had tons of Full frontal nudity,and pretty decent movies to boot.Now at most you get a few tit shots and the boobs aren't even real .The girls need to wear shirts that read."Objects in T-shirt are smaller than they appear."

I'm shocked about people enjoying ANYTHING about Carrie 2 and Blairwitch 2!
Blairwitch 2 was so bad, the whole movie theater we watched it in was cracking up (the ones who didn't walk out early)

Carrie 2 looked more like a music video than a movie and not even a good video...it looked like a Bobby Brown video!

I'm not in love with the original Blairwitch Project, but did find it creative and respect what they did with almost no budget.
The sequel HAD a budget and a lot of really bad ideas, dialogue, acting, and no scares at all. I've seen episodes of Dawson's Creak that scared me more.

Let's move on, shall we?

Alien 3 was pretty bad. There were things to love (the moody camerawork, the shaved heads and especially the POV of the fast aliens as they scurry through the tunnels!), but overall the film was more depressing and boring than hypnotic.

Halloween 6 was PAINFULLY bad. The kind of bad that takes therapy to get over. I'd rather watch hours of old Sally Jesse Raphael episodes than sit through this mess
again. It makes Friday the 13th part 5 look like it stuck to the plot)

Jason Goes to Hell was a paper cut...to the tongue and lips. It should have been called the FOG MACHINE/JASON AND THE AUDIENCE GO TO HELL!

A Nightmare on Elmstreet 4 was like having food poisoning from bad Chinese. Takes a while to get it all out of your system.

I hope I didn't come across as too negative, it's just I LOVE horror movies. Good ones, like The Evil Dead, Silence of the Lambs, the original Halloween and Texas Chainsaw Massacre, etc. When we hold up a Carrie 2 to these films, it pales.

I have to disagree, I still enjoyed BLAIR WITCH 2... Plus, do you ever think that maybe they were laughing because some of the movie was funny. I laughed on quite a few parts because they were funny. I didn't find the movie scary either but it was damn good.

Yes, unfortunately Halloween 3 IS a sequel (note the '3' after 'Halloween') but it SHOULD be viewed as not being a sequel. I watched it again recently, and didn't think it was as bad as it was the first time because I kept an open mind that it doesn't connect with the other films. /ubb/smile.gif
