The SCREAM movies are ranked in quality as they are in chronological order. The original was the best, followed by SCREAM 2, and then SCREAM 3. All three were excellent, deserving the highest score possible. **** A+ (10)

ANTONIO -
It's SO GOOD to meet people who LOVE all 3 SCREAMS! I'm another. But, my personal favourite is SCREAM 2, but i have never been able to figure out why! The whole 'attack on the college campus' thing and the discussion of sequels (that scene in the classroom is one of the best and most original in a horror flick of all time) probably has something to do with it!
Oh, and JADA PINKETT, OMAR EPPS and DUANE MARTIN - I love those guys!

I LIKE THEM ALL THE SAME, BUT FOR DIFFERENT REASONS...
SCREAM- THE SCARIEST/CREEPOIEST
SCREAM 2- THE GORIEST/MOST BRUTAL
SCREAM 3- MOST CHASE SCENES AND ACTION

Ditto with everyone, first was best.

Out of 5

Scream ***** Well made movie.
Scream 2 *** Nice try, but ending kind of a letdown.
Scream 3 ***1/2 Also a nice try, liked the ending until the killer comes back. Just once, they should've let it be.

I shall now overanalyze all of the scream movies...

Scream - Revived the horror industry. I consider it a classic. Most new and inventive film to come out in a while...

Scream - Much more brutal than the first one, not as many laughs. Ending wasn't as good as it could have been...

Scream - Many more laughs than the second, not as much gore, more characters, more chase sequences.

I should really prepare for a backlash, but...

THEY ALL SUCKED!!!

That said, I have seen them all because most of my friends love them and I thought the original was better then the others. But it wasn't the industry-altering flick that so many consider it. Just a semi-clever spoof.

It's not really a horror movie. I's a thriller\slasher. Well that being said I would go with scream 1 great movie.

I thought the first one was the best and agree with those who expressed that the ending of the second one was a bit of a letdown. The third one had a lot of great chase scenes and was often funny, as well, but the first one is still my favorite.

I think I pretty much agree with Rocky is Cool Halloween 2 was as cool as Halloween.

The best Scream was the one that never came out, was not a movie, was not thought of or invented. If I could go back to the day of it's conception I would kill all those involved. Hurry up and build me a time machine, oh yes build it now! Its time to seek and destroy oh yeah bam bam bam!!! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/tongue.gif

My rankings (out of four):

Scream ****
Scream 2 ****
Scream 3 ***

My favorite would have to be Scream 2, though. For my money, it is the most intense and frightening of the three. An excellent film especially when you consider they only had a few months to write, scout, cast, film, edit, and release the movie.

C'mon, of course the first one is the best. And for me each one gets worse after that...

Scream - 10/10
Scream 2 - 8/10
Scream 3 - 7/10

The first is my fav. Hated part 3, and honestly can't remember a thing about 2, other than the Roseanne chick being in it.

You mean they made sequels..?

Jason Voorhees

I personally didnt like any of them, They came off to me as arrogant and condescending to not only horror films but to horror fans as well, Not only that but take Scream 1 for instance. The movie thinks It's so clever by mocking slasher cliches and then it goes and does them all save a few. Like the girl who just wont call the freakin cops, the girl who runs up the stairs, The killers motives are even rooted in sex, Sydneys mother had sex so he killed her. Oh yeah and I dont conider Matthew Lillards character a killer in that movie. He's mainy just a jerkoff who adds nothing.

For it's novel and humorous twist on the genre, I give SCREAM **** out of 4 stars.

For it's lame, over-the-top, ridiculous ending (having 2 killers who were easy to figure out half way through) I give SCREAM 2 **1/2 out of 4 stars.

For being more of a comedy (but still resorting to the overly-talkative, blah, blah, blah, killer's motive ending) I give SCREAM 3 **1/2 out of 4 stars.

The original was the only good one. I distinctly remember part 2 ruined it for me. http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif

the first scream was the best followed by scream 2 (which is nearly as good)

scream 3 was only ok

This is tough. Scream was good fun with a good opening, pretty good middle and an ok ending. Good movie, but not as good as I expected. Scream 2 was even more fun, with an ok, but fun beginning, a pretty great middle and a fun, but disappointing ending. Scream 3 was fun also and had a short but strong opening, a good, and shitty middle, and a good and shitty ending. Scream is by far the most psychologically disturbing, where Scream 2 is more gory and Scream 3 is more action and weird comedy. For me though, I enjoy watching part 2 the most because it's the most entertaining, and has the best cast. Scream 3 is pretty good but it's my least favorite outa the three.

I'm shocked.....I'm shocked that there are this many people who love this movie!!! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/eek.gif Come on this movie made a mockery of the whole horror movie category (god I feel like I'm repeating myself on this). The movies were terrible, they just ended up being another teen movie like the over-rated "I know what you did last summer" movies! These movies really sucked if anything they should be put underneath the action section of movie rental stores. I cant help but pick up both the video and box when I see the movies in horror section and move them....I feel its my duty now to inform the public of the terrible job of these movies. You people...I worry sometimes where the whole horror movie genera is going now.... http://www.joblo.com/ubb/frown.gif
