From www.indyfan.com: (http://www.indyfan.com:)
"IJ and the Curse of the Ex's?
In a recent issue of Entertainment Weekly, producer Kathleen Kennedy says a new writer (not Stoppard, as reported by Variety) will start writing in June and submit a first draft by fall. One scene will bring Indy together with a group of past girlfriends likely including cameos by Karen Allen and Kate Capshaw."
Meaning Capshaw WILL indeed come back (so will Karen Allen), but only for a cameo!
Now ain't that good news?

Good find Logan! Thats great news, and Karen Allen is good news too, but i don't know if this means that their ideas are running so low for the film that they submit to mentioning the past adventures of Indiana Jones by to bringing back the two leading ladies (that are still alive). Who's the new writer? Oh well, at least Willies just a memory now (for the most part).
As long as Indy pulls out the whip again i'll be more than happy!!

I just wish Sean Connery would come back for a cameo. but if there was gonna be some past-girlfriends scene, I figure it woulda been in a Bond movie

Scarface, in theory, Sean Connery will be back for more than a cameo. Both Steven Spielberg and Harrison Ford have declared repeated times that he'd be back as Indy's dad in a role supposedly as important as in THE LAST CRUSADE, and Connery himself said he would be "very pleased" to work with Ford again on an Indy movie.
Oh, and about the Girlfriend cameo stuff -- in most of the scripts (real or fake) that have run on the Net for the past few months, ther's always a wedding scene in which Indy gets married to a new girl. Among the guests are Sallah, Marion, Willie, Short Round & Co. Even though I don't think Indy will get married in this one (I hope not), maybe the "past girlfriend scene" will be something like that. Just a theory, though.
The chemistry between Ford and Connery was superb. Really natural. I can only hope that they're re-united once again.

Although the actor is now over 30 years old (not that age has anything to do with things nowadays - just look at Ford), I think that Short Round should play a part in Indy 4. I recently watched the trilogy, and the relationship between him and Indy was great. To see them two team up for another adventure would be great...
Just my opinion anyway.

Second that here. It would be fun to see 'em team up...maybe even have Short Round joke on Indy's age.
