What is the worst Friday?

What do you think the worst Friday the 13th is?
For me it'd have to be number 8. I mean the whole boat ting got annoying. I thought they be in Manhattan for more that 20 minutes. After the first half hour, I was waiting for the ice-berg!

i have only seen the first three and i didnt really enjoy the third one. so out of the first three i'd have to say three is the worst.

I also have to put say Part 8. The pace is slow, the kills boring (except the boxing match) and the film has nothing to do with New York...all about the love boat.

Jason Goes To Hell is a close second.

part 3 was pretty horrible,as was part 4 and 5...JASON TAKES NEW YORK was a disgrace as well...damn,out of those 4,id say EITHER part 3 or the "NEW YORK" one was the worst..

its kinda strange that this series is one of the "front-runners" of the horror biz,yet AT LEAST 5 of the movies in the series SUCK!!

Thats a matter of opinon Bry Bry, I personnally loved # 1-3-6-7 Thought: 2-4-5 were ok Thought #9 was weak and # 8 was shite.

So basically I liked 7 of the 9, thought one was so-so and another sucked. Then again that just my Jason loving butt talking...

As a massive Jason fan, its hard to hold an opinion of a bad Friday the 13th. However I watched part 8 and nearly cried !!!! I mean whay were they thinking removing a VOORHEES from Crystal Lake ! And the way the camera cuts away from a Disemboweling scene I mean that made the series the gory scenes of teenage death ! also what a crap ending in a sewer !!!!

Jason takes Manhatten was the worse. There were a few funny moments when Jason FINALLY got to the damn city but that's it. Part VIII is right down there in the shitter with ISKWYDLS and Freddy's Dead

its just that damn near after the first FRIDAY, every single sequel was almost a CLONE of the original..i loved the FRIDAY movies when i was young, but nowadays, they just get way too repetive and boring...

hopefully, JASON X comes along SOON and gets the series back on track, although i dont see that happening..

i would like to get a box set DVD collection of the FRIDAY series..hopefully, they will make a BONUS dics(like in SCREAM and NOES) where they discuss each sequel and the making thereof..

My vote would have to be for F13 Pt. 8 (Jason Takes Manhatten). Boy did this turkey stink! It kind of reminded me of the "Halloween" series in that the producers actually made an effort to make a truly scary film with Part 4, and followed it up with the pathetically bad Part 5! Same case here - we have an interesting story in F13 Pt. 7 that had a lot of classic Jason moments, and then Part 8 just takes a nose-dive with very little thought being put into the story, production, acting, etc. Face it folks, Pt.8 is a turd pure and simple.

I can't stand part 8 or part 7 althought part 7 had tons of gore that was edited out and part 3 had an alternate ending. We will never see these extra's because Paramount choose's to release all their horror movies without extras!
See this article about Friday The 13th DVD's and why they are without extra's. Remember that every horror movie from Paramount is treated the same way. The Dead Zone DVD has nothing, Don't Look Now has nothing, Pet Semetary has nothing and I doubt your beloved My Bloody Valentine will have anything as well. It's time to speak out people! #8, definitely. As Arrow said, it had nary a thing to do with NYC, instead setting all the "action" on the boat instead of taking full potential of its title.

JASON GOES TO HELL wasn't that bad...still, I am puzzled as to why a scene from this flick was chosen to be the F13th entry on BOOGEYMEN.

I enjoy them all on some level but the least entertaining of them all is 8. Gore was way to low, and so was nudity, granted there was both but I like my Friday flicks bloody as hell and loaded with nudity.

The funny thing is...Leonard Maltin actually said Part 8 is the best of the series. I'll let you interpret that statement for yourself.

As for me, I haven't seen them all yet, but I thought Part 4 was a real bore. It's just a bad teen melodrama/sex comedy where Jason pops up every now and then.
