BRAINDEAD - that Australian flick. That had some pretty sick shit!

Best gore moment....I just picked up Fulci's The Gates of Hell. OH MAN!!
Want Gross?
Want Gore?
Want to lose your lunch?
Scene 1. Guy gets a drill graphically, well, drilled through his head.
Scene 2. Girl vomits her guts out. Oh wow this is nasty.

DANZIG -
Good call on DEMONS, but why didn't you include DEMONS 2? I have both these movies and as far as i can remember 2 is more gross! Nevermind - they are wicked movies to make your girlfriends watch!
!MorganOnyx!
02-11-2001, 07:15 AM
P.S. That black 'pimp' dude who goes to the cinema with his 'hoes' in the first DEMONS is blatantly the fitness instructor dude in DEMONS 2. Damn! Couldn't they get a decent caster?! He fucking dies in both as well - they could've been more original. If i remember rightly he gets his BALLS ripped off in the 2nd one!

I'd say anything with Tom Savani doing affects is sure to have loads of gore. I'd go with all his movies if you were looking for some gruesome effects.

If its done with flash, pazzaz, and necessary. I'm in. Perfect example is Dead Alive, even though I like the Evil Dead better.

actually i think that the best "gore" movies are the ones who actually don't have butt loads of blood, buckets of guts, and heads exploding. i think the ones that are the sickest are the ones who show bits or shadows or something of that nature, that never shows the knife cutting her up or the chainsaw chopping her in half, i think it is alot scarier when it is left to your own imagination. to me and most people the imagination is the biggest terror known.

Woah, how can you call it a gore flick if there isn't any....well gore. I remember people always saying to me that I was crazy for liking a gory movie like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I would say, "Hey, it's not that bloody at all". I don't mind the suggested slainings every now and then, but I would rather see geysers and fountains of red. In horror movies or any movie. GORE is KING!

now honestly if not for the MPAA there would be some really gruesome movies out there, but in my opinion my favorite gory movie has to be Evil Dead 1, Evil Dead 2 had gore, just it was funny gore, yes funny hehehe

I just have 2 words "Cannibal Holocaust". You see this puppy, you've seen it all.
Maniac Man
03-14-2001, 12:10 PM
Some different ones that i've seen
The Story of Ricky
Guinea Pig: Mermaid in a Manhole
Anthropophagus
Contamination
Organ
Then of course the ones already mentioned
Braindead, Beyond, City of the Living Dead
Gore 4 All

Anthropophagus (aka The Grim Reaper)....three words, Sick as Hell.
This had one scene that I will never forget and will probably mess up anyone who isn't clinically insane. The monster kills some pregnant woman and rips her stomach open and then eats the fetus. Gross beyond all belief.
Maniac Man
03-15-2001, 12:15 AM
True
haha then the whole intestine eating thing at the end
Beware though although I haven't seen it I think the version titled The Grim Reaper is cut of those two scenes
For anyone looking for it

For gore in a great film:
DAWN OF THE DEAD
For gore in a horror/comedy:
DEAD ALIVE
For gore in a bad film:
MAKE THEM DIE SLOWLY (or any other italian cannibal flick)
For gore in a cult classic:
RE-ANIMATOR (be sure its unrated)
For gore by a certain director:
LUCIO FULCI (anything past 1975)
For cheesy gore:
TERROR FIRMER (among other Troma flicks)

What about Maniac? Tom Savini blows off his own head. How cool is that? Well the maniac character shoots him but he did the effects so you know what I mean. There's also Jason's mom's headless body Tom had left over from Friday the 13th. Again how cool is that? Allthough I wouldn't call it an all out "gore" movie, when somebody dies its nasty.

Dead Alive wins hands down.
Cannibal Corpse
01-01-2002, 12:42 PM
Maniac is great, the way is slices that hooker's scalp and takes her hair is amazing!
Another good one is The Beyond, the little girl getting a hole blown in her head, the mom getting acid in the face, etc.

braindead is actually a newzeland film gut its my fave gore film. classic stuff and cat in the brain is very gory as well, as can be expected from Fulci.
DeadByDawn

The Violent Shit Trilogy is extremely gory, but I still think that Braindead is better in all ways.
Jason Voorhees
01-02-2002, 12:04 PM
Troma is either disgusting or gory at all times, Braindead/Dead Alive is awesome. I think Cannibal Holocaust, which is pretty much a snuff film takes the cake so to speak in terms of gore.

*****Warning: Major Spoilers*****
1. The Evil Dead: The pencil in the leg is so cool!
2. Demons [Unrated Version]: The Demon ripping out of the girls back is enough to see this! [By the way, i don't remeber Demons 2 being sicker, but maybe its because i could only find the R version]
3. Dead Alive: Lawnmower scene..............
4. The Thing: I don't know how this got rated R.
5. Maniac: The graveyard shovel scene and the part when the maniquens come alive are just brutal.
