HORROR MOVIE CROSSOVERS

Since the producers of the Freddy and Jason franchises are still thinking of combining the killer duo in the new "crossover" film FREDDY vs. JASON, what other horror movies would be ripe candidates for a crossover sequel?

Here's an idea for a cool sequel to two twisted psychothrillers: THE BUTCHER BOY and THE PAPERBOY become cell mates at a loony bin for teens, and wreak havoc among the guards, doctors and fellow inmates during a violent murder spree!

This formula worked in the heyday of the Universal Monster pics, with Dracula, The Wolf Man, Frankenstein's Monster crossing paths with everyone from Billy the Kid to Abbott & Costello to a Brooklyn Gorilla!

And since JASON vs. FREDDY is pretty much a go, I'd like to see the two main heroines from both series (Amy Steel and Heather Langenkamp) return as well.

Also, I think it would be way cool for Kyle MacLachlan's Dale Cooper character from TWIN PEAKS to be featured prominently in the next X FILES movie, as perhaps a former colleague and friend of Mulder's (since they're both paranormal investigators), or...as Scully's former beau. The possibilities are endless.

Actually, Chris Carter attempted to recruit Lauren Holly's Maxine character from PICKET FENCES to guest star as Mulder's former flame during one of the earlier seasons, but CBS wouldn't let her out of her contract to appear on a rival FOX show.

Although they've battled very different monsters in their respective horror film roles, I always thought it would be an intriguing idea for the undispited King & Queen of Horror...Bruce Campbell (as Ash in THE EVIL DEAD) and Jamie Lee Curtis (as Laurie Strode in HALLOWEEN) to become a couple in a crossover film.
