Out of any horror/slasher movie you've ever seen, what is your favorite death scene?
some of my favs:
Warning: ****possible spoilers if you haven't seen these flicks***
"Friday the 13th"
-Kevin Bacon spike through the neck
"Friday the 13th pt 7"
-chick in the sleeping bag getting smashed against a tree
"Happy Birthday to Me"
- guy wearing a scarf gets strangled/face mangled in the back wheel of a motorcycle
"My Bloody Valentine"
- chick gets a shower head smashed througb the back of her head so it comes out of her mouth, and blood is flowing out of it
"Halloween 2"
- chick in the whirlpool gets drowned in scalding hot water
- doctor gets a syringe in the eyeball
Can anyone think of any others that are cool?

I don't know if this counts as death, but in "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" when Leatherface hangs that chick up on the meat hook I am totally into it...as well as when he hammers the dude in the head then slams the metal door...
Also when that old guy in "Creepshow" gets "eaten" by roaches I get the major "zoinks" as my bud Shaggy would say...

That first guy in Starship Troopers who got bit in two.
The soldier in Saving Private Ryan who got blown through the glass window in the last french town.
I honestly loved the last death scene in The Thin Red Line when *spoiler* when Wit was surrounded by Japs.
In the first Jurassic Park, the lawyer was eaten of the toilet. That was hot.
In the sequel, The Lost World, the guy with the flashlight in the middle of the lawn grass. He was pounced upom by a Velociraptor. That was the first time you saw a full Raptor. Nice way of doing that.
ohhh, yeah...Final Destination.
Ya know what i'm talking 'bout.

The glass truck in The Omen
When Johnny Depp bites it in the original Nightmare.
The wooden splinter scene is Zombie is a classic.
Terminator
11-17-2000, 05:34 PM
Tony Goldwyn in Ghost, when the broken window fell on him and the spirits came for him. It might not be the best , but it was good.
The Boondock Saint

As some of you know, this will include spoilers.
-When Blade did that roundhouse and kicked the needle is Steven's head. The explosion of his body was weak but I really like that kick he did on the needle.
-Meet Joe Black=Brad Pitts death. Wow!
-Brad Pitts "death" in Fight Club
-Vampires. In the hotel room, the guy answers the door. A hand shoots through him and then tears him in half=freakin badass!

My favourite death scene is in Tales From the Crypt: Demon Knight, where Billy Zane punches his hand straight through that cop's head. Then rips the cops head off. Dude! What a cool scene. Also is the scene in End of Days where Gabriel Burns does the same thing to one of his unlucky followers. Cool!

What about in Scream when Drew barrymore is strung up, man her face gave me nightmares and I'll admit it.
Also in Halloween H20 when poor Michael is reaching out for help, and then badass Jamie Lee chops his head off. But you know of course theyll find some way to bring him back and make another Halloween.
I think one of the more elaborate deaths was in What Lies Beneath how Harrison Ford nails Pfeiffer with that stuff that paralyzes you, but you can still think, and then drowns her in the bathtub. Man put yourself in that position, that would suck ass.

Two great death were featured in mediocre movies:
URBAN LEGEND 2: When the girl awakens with her liver missing in a tub of ice, a stalk sequence ensues until she gets her head chopped off my a broken window "guillotine" style...gnarly
JASON GOES TO HELL: When this bimbo is riding this dude in a tent. Jason penetrates (no pun intended) her with a spike and rips her body in half...now that kills a hard on... /ubb/smile.gif

...and I still think being boiled in wax is pretty fucked-up...and then being stuck in a museum...you guys ever notice how at a wax museum the eyes seem to follow you around?...man...

My favourite death-scene has to be the entire opening-scequence from "From Dusk Till Dawn". The pacing, the dialogue and the clerk's fiery death are simply fanatsic. On the other hand, I really like the shower-scene from "Psycho". Good stuff ...
mafia

Sean Connery in Highlander, I kinda liked that one.. How about the Terminator in 'Terminator'?! And of course that schoolteacher in 'Final Destination'.
Silent Bob
11-23-2000, 11:53 AM
Oh god...too many!
*SPOLIERS!*
One of my favorite death scenes is in A Nightmare On Elmstreet, when Tina is sleeping and she gets clawed in the stomach, and then dragged on the ceiling, screaming bloody murder while her boyfriend is sitting there, scared stiff. Of course, Johnny Depp meets his demise when he falls asleep in his room, gallons and gallons and gallons of blood shooting up twords the wall. Weird that the body only holds something around 2 pints of blood.
Final Destination.
This movie was so brilliant with it's death scenes. I loved each and every one of them, no matter how scary or cheesy they are. My favorite one was with Terry, the bimbo chick who gets smashed by a bus. This scared the hell out of me, then I laughed my ass off. Really put me in a good mood. I really like the scene where Tod gets choked to death by the clothesline in his shower. Very disturbing.
Halloween.
When the man who was getting some beer in the kitched meets Micheal Myers. When he stabs him in his chest, rising him up and pinning him on the door. I dont like how in that movie how two of the :WOULD BE AWESOME DEATHS: were ruined by Michel choking them with a telephone chord or something.
From Dusk Till Dawn
When the black man throws the Vampire Hookers onto the legs of the table. Also, when the band decide :TO RETIRE FOR THE NIGHT: by exploding. FUCK YOU EVERYBODY AND GOODNIGHT! BOOM! It was pointless but cracked me the fuck up.
Scream.
TV crash on the head. A surefire way to kill a loony man.
Texas Chainsaw Masacre.
Not so much as ONE death, but as all the deaths of the people who have encounted that family and have been killed. The bones in the parlor, the skeletons aboce the staircase, the stuffed dead people with the dog in the family room.
End of days.
"THE MAN" (DEVIL) Pucnches the subway driver through the stomach and takes his heart out. Cheep and cheesy, but funny.

In no particular order:
--The teacher's death in Final Destination (shoulda heard the groans when the house settles and that knife goes all the way through)
--Terry's death in FD (no one can tell me they saw it coming)
--All the deaths in Sleepy Hollow
--Spacey's death in Se7en (It was just a shot in the head, but DAMN did I ever want it to happen)
--Dickie's death in The Talented Mr. Ripley (not a horror movie, but a cool death anyway)
I know there are more, but I can't think of them quite yet.

best death in a horror movie, must be the death of Sergeant Neil Howie in The Wicker Man, burned alive, singing 'The Lords My Shepherd', as burning pigs and chickens squeel and shreik
others may not agree, but this is the single most memorable death in any movie I have seen

Friday the 13th pt2
Machete through face of wheelchair guy.
Bride of Chucky
Buddy gets hit by truck. (ten times more shocking and unexpected than Final Destination)
Frankenstein (the original)
Dr. Frankenstein getting thrown from the windmill, tossed around by one of the arms and dropped like a ragdoll. Pretty dark for 1935.
The Shining
Scatman gets the axe in his gut.
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Although it didn't kill her, I was always disturbed by the dead old man banging her in the head with the dull hatchet at the dinner table.
Cliffhanger (depends on your definition of horror. I was certainly horrified that I had spent money and time watching it)
The opening scene where the woman drops...Intense

One of the best death scenes ever in a movie was probably the only reason worth watching the stupid movie. At the very beginning of The Cube, the guy walks into a room and is cut into tiny chunks by what my friends and I have dubbed "the fence" Its incredible and the movie should be turned off and returned after that point.

Mrs. Luiten-Stabbed by butcher knife, very graphic, I really liked the lady too

I think the best is the death in:
Halloween H20: When Micheal kills Sarah (Jodi Lyn 'O Keefe) It's so horrific!
I also love the scene in Urban Legends: Final Cut, the kidney heist! That whole scene is terrorific!

I dont know if its the best but, when Pumpkinhead carves the cross in the girls forehead then throws her head first threw a window was a good one. Pretty sadistic.
how about the classic exorcist death, when the priest gets hurled out the window and falls down many flights of stairs.

Mimic
*Spoiler*
Disturbing scene put into Layman's terms.
It goes as follows:
1) 2 scientists create genetically-manipulated bug-hybrid to destroy life-threatening children's-disease-carrying insects.
2) Hybrid mutates into a creature that can mimic human appearance.
3) 2 kids who are paid to catch bugs for one of those scientists are murdered by said mutation.
4) Entire scene leaves you feeling very creeped out because of it's cruel irony (the fact that these creatures were made to help children live, but instead, ends up killing 2 of them).
Maybe I'm reading a little too much into it. Whadda ya think? /ubb/rolleyes.gif

The best death EVER in a movie the little girl, Frankenstien. "No more flowers, what do we throw in now?" *SPLASH*
So SO HILARIOUS!!!!!!!!
The worst death EVER has got to be CiCi and Randy from Scream 2. CiCi didn't do anything, and all Randy did was survive one single killing spree. Really!!!

Any "Friday the 13th" movie will almost certainly have you asking did he just do that for instance in part 3 When he grabs your man by the head and squashes his head i own it on video and watch it again and again its brilliant! or in part 6 where he jumps down from a tree and severes 3 HEADS at the same time unforgettable!!!! or in part 8 the worst of the series when he fights the boxer on the roof and he PUNCHES HIS HEAD OFF beautiful. In part 2 he drives a spear through the two people in bed at the same time ahhh a pretty good way to go out i think

I think a great death was in
Alien: Resurrection. THe bit after the aliens have escaped and all the crew of the ship are vailing out and an alien gets into one of the escape pods and it blasts off (would have been preety horrible way to die) but one of the other crew has rolled a grenade after the alien. Then another alien sneaks up behind him and shoves its tounge jaws into the back of his head. He then reachesa around and picks a bit of his own brain out and then drops. Pretty icky.

By far, the sleeping bag sequence from FRDIAY THE 13TH PART VII. They showed that bit on a tribute to Jason on an old MTV Movie Awards. Crowd loved it.
The dog that gets swallowed by the croc in EATEN ALIVE, notable because the little girl who owend the dog (no joke) cried for the next half-hour!
Every second of the DEAD-ALIVE finale.
When Van Damme kicks a can of gasoline at a guy on a motorcycle, then shoots the can and blows the guy out of a warehouse. Not horror, but HARD TARGET is a gem.

I remember this one death scene that put me in a frenzy of giggles. I have no idea what the title was and I have no idea who's in it. All I remember was this guy who was set on fire, walks out of a burning car and steps in front of a couple saying stuff like "I will never die! I am God! You can't kill me!" Then the dude pulls out a pistol and shoots him in the head and it rolls off his body. Anyone know the title?
