I never really liked it when I seen it waaayyy back in the 80's,and I tried watching it a few days agoand it still didn't do it for me.

There were 2 other Jamie Lee Slashers out around the time that were much better.Road Games and Terror Train were more worthy than
shit night, which outgrossed them BOTH ,together!!!How?If ya ask me ,Leslie Neilsen looks like he wants to kill his agent in this movie.

The disco music makes my ears bleed!!!

this movie was extremly boring, i pity leslie nealson, other then this piece of non good trash, i've never hated another one of his movies, not even repossed, not even wrongfully accused, yes, i enjoyed them, if you want leslie in horror, go rent creepshow, it's a trillion times better then this pile of crap.

Agreed wholeheartedly. PROM NIGHT was just really long, dull, and predictable. I knew who the killer was from the start, but the movie played out as if it didn't know a thing. That, and when the lighting was just right, it looked like the ski-mask was studded with diamonds.

* 1/2 out of **** from me. I'll take TERROR TRAIN instead, thank you.

Antonio's not gonna like this! http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I think it's one of the best of the eighties slasher. The identity of the killer was a complete suprise to me. I just didn't see it coming. I loved Jamie Lee's performance as the not so virginal Kim. Anne Marie Martin was great as the resident bitch and rival of Kim. When ever I pop this gem into my VCR I always get a big smile on my face when it's over. Next to the Halloween series this is Jamie Lee's best movie.

MJG15, I always have a different reaction when the final credits of PROM NIGHT roll...I'm usually very depressed (due to the sad ending).

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and on some video copies, this film is dark and dated, but still one of my faves since it was my cherry-popper slasher (saw it even before HALLOWEEN or F13).

What I'm wondering is...why isn't this topic being moved to the Past Horror Forum?
