Some of his films are underrated (BIGGLES: ADVENTURE IN TIME, ESCAPE TO WITCH MOUNTAIN) but he also made a few stinkers (HOWLING IV: THE ORIGINAL NIGHTMARE and AMERICAN GOTHIC). Here are my fav top 5 John Hough horror flicks:

1. The Legend Of Hell House (1973) 8/10
2. Eyewitness (1970) 8/10
3. The Incubus (1981) 6/10
4. The Watcher In The Woods (1980) 5/10
5. Twins Of Evil (1971) 4/10

The Legend of hell house is one of my JH faves.Where is he now?

I have only see Incubus ( own it ) and it was pretty good I think.

I like The Howling 4: Original Nightmare, but thats all i've seen.

Well, maybe labeling AMERICAN GOTHIC and HOWLING IV stinkers might have been a bit harsh...
I'm not denying that both were entertaining and had it's moments but compared to his masterpiece/classic THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE they are just really weak efforts that went straight to video.
THE LEGEND OF HELL HOUSE is available on DVD from FoxVideo. Highly recommended.

lol, don't worry, you don't have to apologize for saying they were stinkers. I haven't heard many good reviews for American Gothic, I just liked it for some reason. As for Legend of Hell House, I haven't seen it yet. Hopefully I'll get the chance to watch it soon.
