Re-Animator, It's sequel, Bride of Re-Animator and The Frighteners are his bestest movies, I should really see From Beyond, seems like my kind of movie.

R&J,

When Combs comes a calling, I am there.

I took a sabbatical from the net for a while.

But its nice to be home!

HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL was a good vehicle for Combs, because he rarely gets a chance to be in mainstream. Mainstream audiences wouldn't know who Dr. Herbert West was if they were hit over the head with a copy of the Re-Animator.

I can't help but think were it not for the fucking genuis of Special Agent Milton Dammers, FRIGHTENERS would have been a mere dot on the horizon.

And Doctor Mordrid is my love-god.

dr. herbert fuckin' west definetly. it may be his most well known part, but damn he played west perfectly. no one else coul have possibly pulled it off that well.

he was pretty cool in attic expeditions, but alice cooper was better lol.

i dont remember him in frighteners, time to watch that one again. the others mentioned i either havent seen the movie or i dont remember him in it.

A tie between Dammers and West. I wish he'd get more roles outside of the "mad scientist" mold. Here's to hoping that he gets more mainstream recognition with Feardotcom. Oh, and great topic!

I'd have to say Dammers. He is so great in that movie and has all of the awesome quotes. He just steals the show. He still is great as West.

Lady S. here, under a new name for safety's sake (looks like I blew it!)

And Doctor Mordrid is my love-god

Oh no, Kweenie, you cannot steal my deity of geeky passion. Screw Yvette Mimuiex and stop motion dinosaurs.

Beyond Re-Animator has reconfirmed my love of West and his sexily crazy (yet eerily asexual) antic.

I wish one time, other than the awful Felony, that Combs would get a fabulous love scene.

Lady S! So glad to see that you're back; I've missed you for the longest! I haven't seen Felony, but it's supposed to be on tv next week. So Jeff has a love scene it that? Hmmm.....

His role in Castle Freak is almost serious and I always get chocked up by the guy's heroic deed :(

..and now I have to see Love and a .45 I remember it having a great soundtrack.

Herbert West.

He was born to play that role just as much as Sir Hopkins was to play Hannibal the Cannibal.

Klownzilla,
Alas since Jeff is not a super grade a hottie, his love scene is not very explicit, and has Ashley Laurence!
Its a pity, he's never been better looking than in Felony.

I still love the tie and suit combo seen in all Re-Animator's.

Oh Yeah!

Felony will come on tomorrow, but damn, it has to air while I'm at my morning class. I think if I hurry I could catch the last hour of it.

And this past Saturday I ventured to a video store known for its rare selection of movies from all genres. To my anticipation, they had From Beyond! I was finally able to see it in a form that wasn't edited for tv. That make-out scene with Jeff and Barbara is really quite something. Those two should have a similar relationship in a future movie.

Klownzilla,

Be thankful your store had FROM BEYOND!
I too have found a Jumbo that has it and intend on renting it again so I can ogle the coolness of Ken Foree battling an intergalactic being formerly known as Praetorius.

Barb and Jeff make a great couple.

He kicked ass in The Frighteners and Love & A 45.. everything else he's been in seems to be the same role.
