Final Destination was a good movie, but it was annoying how they went into a cliched chase type finale at the end.

Yeah, I can agree with OPERA (still an awesome movie, though), but I liked the ending to Day of the Dead...it started out very bleak, but then gave a small sign of hope for mankind (the island thingee).
OPERA's ending just left me going, "huh?" lol

I hated the ending to The Stand - both the book and TV miniseries. Seemed like an awful big buildup for it to end the way it did.

Definitely 'Stephen King's IT'.
Even when I read the book I found the ending to be a total letdown.

Sleepy Hollow was a pretty decent movie, but the ending seemed too pat, like they ran out of ideas.

Actually, I thought that the ending in the book IT was cool. Come on, a let down? After IT is destroyed,
(Spoilers for the Book!!!)
half the fucking town gets destroyed. It was straight out of the Bible. The river overflows, collapsing three city blocks, the town dam breaks down, a huge bridge gets hit by lightning and explodes, the standpipes blow up and one of the metal covers flies off decapitates a guy a mile away. The movie totally pussies out on the ending. If they had done all this, then the second half of the movie wouldn't have been so fucking bad.
(End Spoilers)
I haven't thought an ending to a book was this cool until I read the last part of the Godfather when Michael goes off and kills everyone on his shitlist.

i personally like the ending to notld, its bleak but so was the whole movie. its sad, but it a small way i think it fits.
but of course you wanna see someone survive, so there's also the part of me that hates the ending.
i think the end of wishmaster 2 is dissappoinging, it was too cheesy. even though it was a cheesy movie to start with, that ending kinda ruins to experience to me.

I loved the ending to The Birds!
I thought that the ending for Insomia could have been alot better, it just felt a bit too traditional, same with Sleepy Hollow, that ending felt a bit traditional as well.

HELLRAISER-an exceptionally intelligent, well-crafted horror/drama...but that last part is too sloppy and perfunctory.

Gotta agree concerning NEAR DARK and IT (though IT wasn't exactly "classic" even before the finale). Also, MIMIC had some great moments, but that bland Hollywood ending fucked it all up.
THE CHANGELING has an incredibly lame ending.
And SUSPIRIA...still a great movie, but the finish is kinda weak.
JEEPERS CREEPERS, the whole last half...man, the beginning wasn't exactly original, but it was at least sorta effective. But that ending, with the psychic and the police station and the too-abrupt sting in the tail...the director lost control. Again.

It definitley suffered from bad ending disease. And I thought that Joyride started waning towards the end also. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.
Donnie Darko entertaining until the end. It wasn't stupid, or even un-clever, but it was boring.

I loved Evil Dead, but I didn't like the claymation effects at the end. They looked cheap and cartoonish.
