well, as we all probably know, Sleepaway Camp IV: the survivor was never finished and never will be. But tell me, if there was still a chance for The Survivor to be completed, which would you prefer to be the fourth Sleepaway Camp?I thought the sequels where great, but it looks like Return To Sleepaway Camp will be ignoring them and just continue the story from the original.which would truly be the best part IV to this series???

To go on from 2 and 3, because frankly 1 sucked ass.

sleepawaycampfan#1, isn't there footage of sleepaway camp 4 on the DVD package that just came out or is about to come out?

Well, seeing as how there are slated cameos from Nelly and Lil' Bow Wow in the upcoming "Return to Sleepaway Camp" (I'm not holding my breath on this one, since it's been getting back to back to back delays and reschedules), I'd probably have to say "Sleepaway Camp IV: The Survivor" would be a better idea. However, I can't really say for sure until the the DVD box-set comes out with the footage. Hell, I'd go either way with them as long as Pamela Springsteen reprised her role as Angela. She was awesome.

yes there will be footage of sleepaway camp 4 in the boxed set, but only if you buy it at Best Buy. other boxed sets dont include it.

ACTUALLY, it's only if you PRE-ORDER the DVD do you get the extra 4th disc with production footage of The Survivor...I pre-ordered my copy yesterday and I'm excited!!
And yes, Best Buy has a VERY good horror section and a lot of markdowns. DVD's for under $10.

No, no, no. The bonus disc is available through Best Buy as well. Anchor Bay had a plan with them to carry something extra on their version of the boxed set.

Although I don't really like the idea of ignoring the sequels I would like for it to pick up from part 1 or at least have the same tone and feel of the original. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

I would much rather see Return to Sleepaway Camp. The little bit of Sleepaway Camp 4 seemed so much different (and worse) than any of the other Sleepaway Camp movies. It felt like a late night direct-to-cable softcore movie.
The original director sounded like he had really good ideas to continue off of the first movie, but I agree with many of you that I wish he would at least make reference of part 2 and 3. It sounds to me like he wasnts to ignore them.
