The Axeman of New Orleans:His Mo was sliping into houses at night and attacking the victims with demoniacal fury. Altogether he killed 7 people and savagely wounded 8. The killer was never identified but some believe he was an ex con named Joesph mumfre, who was shot down by a widow of the Axemans last victim. She claimed she had seen him flee the murder scene.Who know's if he was the real killer but the killings stopped with his death.

The Zodiac killer:The zodiac killer was a night prowling gunman/knife weilding psychopath who sent letters to the police signed with the astrological sign of the Zodiac.He killed 5 people and severely wounded 2 simply vanishing after sending a letter to the police threatening that he would blow up a school bus and though therories abound, his identity remains one of the great Unsoveled mysteries of modern crime. A movie has been done before in a clint eastwood film Dirty Harry but not true to the story as it had a much more satisfying ending.

I agree that this would be a good true crime story. I remember when the whole thing happened I was 15 and I was taking off from home alot. My mother was a nervous wreak so I decided to be a good girl and stay home for awhile since it was happening near my area. I'll admit I was pretty freaked out for a good while. Nothing like that happened before so close to home.

Are you talking about his wife Karla Holmoka if so I agree.She got off light because they cut a deal with her that she would testify against him before they knew about her sister's death and the exsistance of the video tapes.Once known they couldn't do anything about it cause a deal's a deal-right? I am pretty sure he is still alive because there is no Death Penalty in Canada.

A good true crime story:
The shoemaker Joseph Kallinger, now that was a sick fuck!
In the 70s he formed a killing team with his thirteen-year-old son and believed a floating disembodied head named Charlie was commanding him to kill! He and his son tortured 8 people, killed a neighbor's child, a 21 year-old nurse and one of his own sons!
He also build huge, weird "machines" in his house and manufactured tiny shoes for hamsters!

Would Make an interesting movie methinks.

Lobster boy!!!Im not kidding either.About ten years ago there was this guy who was a side show freak in a circus.He had no legs, claws for hands,and everyone in his family had the same deformity.Well he was also a nut case and killed his daughters boyfreind,and also tryed to kill a couple of other folks as well.Untill he was shot dead by one of his neighbors.I'm not making this up.Now wouldn't that make a twisted ass movie?

I'd like to see an adaptation of James Ellroy's 'Black Dahlia'.

For those who don't know, it was based on an actual killing of a young woman. Her body was found drained of blood and cut in half. The killer was never found.

David Fincher is attached to direct the adaptation.

The book is more of a detective/noir story than a horror movie, but with Fincher directing, it has the potential to be a dark and depressing movie, think Se7en set in the '40s.

Black Dalhia? is that the story where the killer had her in a bath tub and then laid her remains in the grass spread out in a pose. If so I think I seen the story on A&E. That was the first time I actually saw a picture of a real dead persons face on television. Haunted me ever since.

This has already been made into a movie but just thought I would throw it out there anyway. ED GEIN. It was the basis and inspiration for TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE's character LEATHERFACE. It is kick-ass movie. Rent it if you get the chance.
