This isn't in a horror film, but it is the best slit throat ever: Die Hard 2, when John Amos puts a piece of gum in his mouth before running a gigantic blade across his new recruit's throat. That guy's throat just opens wide and spits blood everywhere!(cringing)

Agreed Kubot, Die Hard 2 my thoughts exactly, even though it wasnt horror that recruits throat was split wide open for the audience to see. Amos slit the recruits throat MARINE STYLE!

Fyi... the director of Die Hard: Die Harder was Renny Harlin, who also was behind Deep Blue Sea. So its pretty conceiaveable he has horror tastes, D.H.2 was evidence of that.

I change my mind. From Hell doesn't have the best slit throat.The House by the Cemetery does.Come on.Its one of the most graphic throat slits I've ever seen in a movie.It eventually cuts the head off.

I would have to say that Geko's (Marine) throat slash in Jason X was the best...the sound of gurgling was enough to make me cringe a little. Coming in 2nd place would have to be From Hell.

What i love about that one is how he drives the hacksaw halfway through his neck, and then TWISTS his head around with the hacksaw still embedded in his throat with blood gushing everywhere. That was awesome.
