Who do you think had the best/What is your favorite "tantrum" scene?
1. THE SHINING (1980)
Jack (Nicholson) throwing a fit because his wife Wendy interrupted him working. "Whenever I'm in here and you hear my typing ...*typing sound*...that means don't come in...now, do you think you can handle that?"
2. MISERY (1990)
"You dirty bird!" Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates) throwing a fit and giving Paul Sheldon (James Caan) some sweaty moments after she read that her heroine Misery died in childbirth.
3. THE EXORCIST (1973)
Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn) being "a bit" upset because her estranged husband didn't call Regan on her birthday.
4. SLEEPAWAY CAMP (1983)
Ol' Mel (Mike Kellin) over-the-top tantrum scene, blaming Ricky for the murders.

1. A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET (1984)
Nancy goes crazy when she finds out that her mother has been hiding the secret of Freddy Krueger from her. She eventually grabs her mother's vodka bottle, throws it to the floor and screams "SCREW SLEEP!" As you do.
2. NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1968)
Ben and Mr Cooper have a lengthy argument, in which Ben yells at Mr Cooper "you go down to the cellar... you can be boss down there! I'm boss up here!"

Carrie (1976) - Sissy Spacek's tantrum wilist being dragged across the room and shoved in the closet. Very haunting and powerful scene.
The Stepfather (1987) - Terry O'Quinn's temper boils over in the basement as he takes it out his frustration with power tools.

Mickey Rourke in Angel Heart flip out real well near the end of the movie.
Trauma, were Brad Dourif flips out on David.
Aliens were Bill Paxton seeing his fellow marines trashed,flips hard!!!GAME OVER MAN!!!!

Arnie flipping out at his girlfriend when Christine gets trashed. Keith Gordon was so fucking good in that movie. It was a disappointing (though entertaining) adaptation of the book...but his performance was pure class.
While on the subject of rage scenes and Christine. Buddy Reperton had his share of classy shitty fits in that movie too. What exactly was a 30+ year old doing in high school anyway?

The ending to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre had
one of my best fits. Leatherface almost had the heroine, but she escapes at the last minute. Leatherface then does a maniacal dance with his saw. Was that the famous chainsaw dance I've heard about.

Play Misty for Me (1971)
When Evelyn (Jessica Walter) is spurned by Dave (Clint Eastwood) and uses her stolen key to get in and trash his house. She is walked in on by his maid, and brutally attacks her stabbing her repeatedly with her butcher knife. This is one of the most savage and intense moments in a film I can remember.

Ugh, almost forgot: Sam Neill and Isabelle Adjani share quite a few good ones in POSSESSION.
