H1 = 7/10
H2 = 5/10
H3 = 2/10
H4 = 5/10
H5 = 4/10
H6 = 3/10
H7 = 5/10

(I didn't see H8 yet.)

I enjoy entries 2 and 4.

For me, no other entry beats Halloween 5.

Everyone either hates it or likes certain things about it, I love it as a whole. It's what I call intelligent filmmaking. Dominique Othenin-Girard pulls no punches, he tells it like it is, and in the process of doing so, he deconstructs and dethrones the original in a positive way. To me, the original bears an unmistakable "don't know where this is going feel" and I dislike it for this.

Halloween 5 is dirt cheap, it's stays low to the ground in terms of everything, yet it manages to alienate the inner circle of loyal fans. I LOVE THIS MOVIE.

I'm assuming you mean the best sequel, because Halloween is the shit, period. Halloween 2 is the best sequel, in my opinion.

Halloween is the first,and best of the series,and none of the sequels even come close to topping it.All this was done on a budget of 320,000,and it STILL holds up ,unlike some of the big budget,hollywood elephant shit that they try to pass as a horror film.
