I love both of the Blade movies for their action, and horror elements.Wesley Snipes does a great job playing Blade.

I like Blade 1 because it seems more character driven, and Stephen Dorrf was a better villian.

What do you guys think?

I liked the 1st Blade but I have not seen the 2nd one

Frost was a lot more charismatic as the lead villain in 1, but it's more of an action movie than a horror movie. Blade 2, along with Starship Troopers, is probably one of the goriest action/horror movies ever. Blade 1 by just a little.

Hooray for me.

Blade 2 by far. It had a better story, better efects and fight scenes, and beter characters. I loved the sewer scenes, and it had tons of twists!

I thought thta Blade 1 was alright. But Blade 2 was a huge disappointment for me. I hated the music to it, it just didnt suit the film at all. I thought that it was nice though that they "attempted" to hide the CGI. And all through watching it i WANTED to like it but i just couldn't. I left the cinema with mixed opinions on it and shortly came to the decision that i didn't like it.

blade 2. Wesley Snipes was a lot cooler. Can't wait for part 3.

I agree with Derik. Blade 2 was mostly bad, with the exception of maybe a few small scenes or little touches. However, it was shitty because of a bad script and bad director. The original Blade was almost all good. It had a better story, better action, better effects, better villian, better begining, and better characters. Some parts were slow, and some small scenes had bad SFX and corny writing, but for the most part, it was one of the better comic movies to ever come out. The next one should be like the original.

Blade 2 is far more better. Better CGI, better gore, better action and Wesley Snipes looked much cooler.

Part 2 would have been better if the acting wasn't so God-awful! So I'm going with the original, innovative Part 1.

Blade 2 is to #1,what Aliens is to Alien.I liked Blade 2 for the Reapers, who are some of the coolest monsters to grace the screen in years,Whistler was back,it had a few twists and turns, and the Action was great.

But i thought it lacked the Atmosphere of the 1st one.Villian -wise,I felt sorry for Nomak's character, where Decon Frost was a total bastard, that you just hated him.
And I thought Ron Pearlman was wasted in Blade 2.

Blade 9/10
Blade 2 8.0/10

Both were ultra - cool but I prefer the first - one, even if the special effects at the end were " special ", indeed.

Two is the best despite the over-reliance on CGI and the annoying wrestling moves.

Both were highly entertaining, but Blade ii is better because it has a faster pace, more gore and not as much cgi. In the first one the terrible cgi bothered me at parts. But Blade 1 had a better villan.

On the plus side for Blade 2,did anyone notice that Blade seemed more fleshed out than the 1st movie, where he barely talked,
except when he was pissed.

In Blade 2 you could tell Wesley Snipes was having fun with the role of Blade.

While I mostly agree with everything you touched on, I just have to get off my chest I can't stand when people say Blade 1 and not Blade. This isn't directed towards anyone either, but Blade is Blade, just like Halloween is Halloween. There's no I or 1 attached to it, as for Blade II while it is entertaining and more sci-fi than the original, I thought Blade was better overall because the villians had more style, fights were cooler looking (not so much slow motion and unrealistic kicks, it matches the Bourne Identity for the most high-paced, quick fighting scenes ever on film imo), and the music is much better and fitted more imo.

Blade 9/10
Blade II 8/10

the first one has mad storyline action and the secod has mad action action... it depends on what kinda mood ur in... blood or character development....

i have only seen the 1st so i cant say which is my favorite

but my opinion on the 1st was, that if it was just him trying to find the vampire that bit his mother it would have been better. i just didnt think the whole blood god subplot was all that great. good movie, but i think it could have been alot better.

i really wanna see the 2nd one.

I didn't like either of them, but id say that Blade 2 is better.

Blade 2 5/10

You need to rewatch the original Blade again, that's what the Daywalker's motive was the whole time- eliminate all vampires after what happened to his mother. Its simply vengeance, and he did find the vamp that infected his mother it was Deacon Frost... You need to see it again.

no i did get that http://www.joblo.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

just thought the whole blood god thing was a bit much, i like complicated plots but i thought they tried to complicated it to much with the blood god thing. still a really good movie though.

I see... I liked the Blood God concept simply because it wasn't used before in any horror film I ever saw, something fresh. Both Blade and Blade II are very stylish and original, I think that's another reason I like them alot.

Haven't seen the original but I thought Blade 2 was overhyped and not very good. Then again I don't like vampire movies to begin with. Well thats all for now GOoD JOURNEY my fellow schmoes.

Both were good but I think Blade 2 pulls off the win

Blade- 3/5 stars
Blade 2- 3.5/5 stars

Blade had more character driven stuff and a more colorfull plot but Blade 2 had in my opinion a more clever plot and action. Pure entertainment

Well, the character of Nomak may return for Blade 3,the writer David Goyer is thinking a Planet of the Apes twist on the 3rd one.
I think they should bring back frost also.

I thought the acting was not that bad,and the story was decent.Your right on the money about the fight scenes. They are some of the best ones in a while.
