View Full Version : Movies where NO ONE survives

I don't think I've ever seen a horror movie that fits this criteria. Even the ones with the biggest body count usually spare a chracter or two. I've heard that Return of the Living Dead is an exception, but no others come to mind at the moment. If Evil Dead was a stand-alone movie, it would qualify, since it implies that the raping tree http://www.joblo.com/ubb/wink.gif got Ash, but he lives for at least two more films. As we've discussed on another thread, Dawn of the Dead was gonna end that way too but they changed their minds.

It's been a while, but I remember the last person alive (Caroline Munro) in SLAUGHTER HIGH dying.

How about Lucio Fulci's Zombie? New York gets invaded by zombies and it's probably supposed spread all over the world. It isn't hard to guess that there dies a LOT of people. Does it count?

The only one i can think of is the original night of the living dead. And RottenCotten already said it.

Guys, remember that I'm not necessarily talking about the whole world when I say "no one," just the featured cast.

Oh, right. How about Pet Sematary? They all die or at least are dead in the ending.

John Carpenter's remake of "The Thing". MacReady and his friend are left sitting in the snow while the research station burns behind them, and it's pretty much a sure thing they're both going to die.
And, if you're into really obscure foreign horror, the Russian film "Solaris". The planet takes over the mind & soul of the last man standing...no one survives. (I thoroughly recommend this film, btw, as long as you don't mind reading sub-titles.)

If i remember correctly the name of the 3rd doctor was Dr. Milo. As for if it counts. I guess it's for Cyclonus to decide.

What about the end of Event Horizon? You don't know for sure, but it implies a grim future for the last survivors.

What about DEEP RISING? Unless I'm mistaken, at the end of the movie the survivors are pretty much screwed.
