RESIDENT EVIL vs GHOSTS OF MARS

ok today i watched RESIDENT EVIL for the first time and relised the simularities between it and GHOST OF MARS (it is even mentioned on www.imdb.com (http://www.imdb.com) in the triva for RESIDENT EVIL)

so i was wouldering who liked what better

seriously. i think resident evil will be crap(and i like every other video game movie, yes, i do like street fighter, dont throw that rock at me)

i did like ghost of mars, and i have no hope for resident evil at all. it might be good, and if its better then ghost of mars i'll still say ghost of mars, because like steve, im a difficut person ;D

this is a very dificult question.
i liked resident evil very much.thought anderson did a superb job.
carpenter,in my opinion,is the king of horror.i think ghosts of mars had problems in its storyline,but nothing major.

my answer:

i like ghosts of mars better,but anderson did a better job directing.

Both films were obviously missing something imo, that's why they're just solid horror/thriller flicks. I guess I would have to say Ghosts of Mars because I think R.E. could have been alot better, basically it had a whole-lot more potential where Ghosts of Mars was just for pure cheesy fun. Carpenter was just trying to entertain the audience, Anderson still has alot to prove in my book. R.E. isn't one of my fav. movies of '02 either, so be it.

Geeezzz,this is gonna be a hard one to pick.

I liked Ghosts of Mars alot,It has tough
female characters in it like RE,and when
there is a fight in both movies,it is backed up by loud Lovible Metal music.

Only thing is ,I happen to think Anthrax is
Light years better than Slipknot.

Ghosts of Mars was a good film but I felt it was lacking in afew areas. The whole film felt rushed and the fight sequences seemed very laxidasical.

Resident Evil on the other hand was a pure thrill ride from beginning to end. It was the perfect mix of horror and action, in my opinion.

I loved both flicks but I will have to go with Resident Evil because I first heard of them making a RE film 5 years ago in a playstation mag. I waited till now for it to come out. So all my anticipating paid off and I would be letting myself down if I didn't pick this one as the best of the two.

RE was fun to watch although the story skipped things I think
GOM was disturbing since watching people stick things into their skin gives me the heebie jeebies

I was disappointed in both, but they're mildly entertaining. The groundwork was there for both films to be top-notch productions, but they never escalated to their potential. It's a tie!
