JEFF GOLDBLUM
1. Jack Bellicec in INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS
2. Seth Brundle in THE FLY
3. MR. FROST
4. Ichabod Crane in THE LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW (TV)
5. Dr. Ian Malcolm in JURASSIC PARK and THE LOST WORLD
6. Hatch Harrison in HIDEAWAY
7. David Levinson in INDEPENDENCE DAY
I'm going with Jack Bellicec in the 1978 remake of BODY SNATCHERS. As a neurotic, paranoid writer, Goldblum had me rooting for him as he ran for his life (and his soul). He also shared great chemistry with his on-screen wife Veronica Cartwright.

I'd have to go for The Fly... because that hair alone was the single most scary thing in that movie.

MR. FROST is Goldblum's best performance.
Subtle, seductive, as Mr. Frost he shows off his best side. No dork residue here folks. Although I liked how his Seth Brundle evolved, Mr. Frost has a tendency to stay with me.
Plus, he doesn't have many lines in this film, but his chemistry with Kathy Baker is apparent, and they do great work together without any nudity.
Not that I mind Jeff getting naked.

i love jeff goldblum.
every role he's done is fantastic.
my personal fave is cats and dogs-he's so goofy in that.
horor wise-no question,the fly.
Jeff Goldblum is terrific.
I suppose the biggest turning point in his career(so far) has been The Fly, which typecast him, but not as a monster(as one would think a role like that would typecast an actor), but as a scientist; hence his later(& equally memorable) roles the 1st 2 Jurassic Park films & Independence Day.

Antonio & I must be the only two who remember Jeff Goldblum's turn as Ichabod Crane in a US TV version of "Legend of Sleepy Hollow". The production sucked, but he was stunning.
The best (IMHO) genre turn he's ever done was as Dr. Ian Malcolm in the Jurassic Park movies.
But he also rocked in the crap horror parody "Transylvania 6-5000" (where he met future-wife Geena Davis), and the equally crap "Vibes" which was a sci-fi fantasy built as a launch vehicle for Cyndi Lauper by her management team.
Let's face it, the guy just can't do a bad acting job...even when he's portraying himself...
After Sleepy Hollow, the TV-version with Goldblum is my favorite film of Washington Irving's story. Like Johnny Depp, Jeff Goldblum was a good choice for Ichabod Crane.
