This movie rocks. I laughed so hard. I like when Chris Kattan falls of the helicoptor and the shark jumps up from the water and eats him. And when those dudes call that guy a sissy and he rips one of the guys heartsout
(Funny but gross). I had a wicked time at this movie. 8/10
Easily the funniest movie I have seen all year. The humor was non-stop and the lead character nailed the 70's "super Fly" cool. I admit, I'm in my late 30's and saw this movie with a theater full of highschool kids, and most didn't seem to find half the homur in this movie that I did. The soundtrack is great, all grove and funk with not one referance to hiphop and rap. The only gripe I have is dispite all the great humor, there was never one "wet myself" laugh/gag throughout the whole movie. But, I found myself chuckling into the next day thinking about all the funny parts. Solid 9 out of 10.

When a mysterious figure know only as "The Man" threatens to stop the very first black presidential candidate, Undercover Brother (Eddie Griffin) and a group of secret agents try to stop him.
The very first time I saw the trailer for this flick, I said to myself, "this looks like shit". But then, all of a sudden, I changed my mind. The movie actually started to look like fun to me. And that's exactly what this blaxsploitation spoof, "Undercover Brother" was... a lot of fun.
Eddie Griffin really shines in this movie, just as his jewelry and wardrobe does. He steals the show as this tremendously funky character who feels his gigantic afro of his is of more importance than his job. The rest of the cast has got their own "thang" going on, and it's damn funny! Chris Kattan deserves a shout-out for a surprisingly decent performance. He proves that if he gets the right script, he will be funny on the silver screen, not just on "Saturday Night Live".
If you liked "Austin Powers" and "Shaft", then this is definitely a must-see for you. Since basically, the movie is a combination of those two flicks. "Undercover Brother" is a hilarious movie with a decent script, clever one-liners, wacky performances and characters, and all in all, a really funky movie! I'd say this brother is... "solid".
Running Time: 1 hour 28 minutes
Grade: 8/10

ONE WORD: SOLID!!!! This movie was hilarious and, despite comparisons to Austin Powers, completely original. Eddie Griffin is the absolutely perfect for this role. I love Smart Brother and Controversy Brother. Denise Richards...well, I've never liked her, but I liked to see her almost making fun of herself. She was the perfect person for the White Devil or whatever. I loved Chris Kattan and his inner-blackness just itching to get out when he starts to say words like "Fo' sheezy ma neezy" and is shaking his butt to Mary J. Blige. It was classic. I loved the intern at the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. who danced and sang to Christina Aguilera and ripped out security guard's guts when they called him a sissy. It was sooooooo gross and unexpected, but I couldn't have laughed harder. When Chris Kattan fell off the helicopter and that shark ate him, what a riot! I've never laughed so hard in all my life! Genuine fun and a good cast. Lots of continuous laughs. "I see white people," says Eddie Griffin as he watches 'N Sync's old videos. Very well made and a funky ride. Good soundtrack! "You mess with the 'fro, you got to go!" 9/10

My sister kept after me to see this flick, and I held off cause I really didn't think that Eddie Gryphon was that funny,(He had this show on UPN? that I thought really sucked ass)But there were parts of UB that made me laugh so hard that I couldn't catch my breath,” Don’t call me... Sissy!" And the way that they worked James Brown in to the movie was too cool, "Say it loud!"

Undercover Brother Funny Funny Funny!
Undercover Brother is definitely one of the funniest movies of 2002 (equal with The Hot Chick, in my opinion). It started off a bit lame, but then after Denise Richards came along, BOOM! the fun started! Denise Richards definitely knocked this movie up 2 stars for me! My favourite scene was the catfight between Penelope Snow (Richards) and Black Sista Girl (don't know her real name). It was hilarious! You can download that clip off www.countingdown.com. 8/10. I am definitely looking forward to Scary Movie 3 in October because Eddie Griffin, Denise Richards and Anna Faris are in it!

Undercover Brother - 6/10

A very brave movie to say the least. It does a good job at picking at the white and black stereotypes in a way that regardless of your race, you're bound to laugh. There are a few laugh-out-loud scenes I can remember, such as the shark-out-of-water gag, the "don't call me a sissy" gag, and the guy that fucked up Eddie Griffin's fro getting a deserving punishment.
My particular pro of the movie focused on the way all the black & white old wives' tales were brought to life in a humorous scene. The B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. (no, I'm really sure what that stands for) actually waging war against "The Man" -- oh, but wait! Drop the the quotation marks -- The Man is actually a white supremacy organization with a faceless white man seeking to destroy the dreams of all blacks -- it's even got an "M" logo as if it were Sprint or something.
However, many of jokes were pretty far and between. Two movies that came to mind while watching were Austin Powers and Cats & Dogs, particularly. Remember how that movie brought about this funny and strange scenario about cats trying to take over the world and dogs being in charge of keeping that from happening? Well, replace the title with "Brotherhood" and "The Man" and you've got this. But where both failed were in keeping the jokes consistent. Yes, there were some goodies, but not thoroughly, and most were close to the end of the flick.
As for the other analogy, Eddie Griffin makes a great black Austin Powers in my opinion. There were really a lot of characters here, and other than Griffin, the ones that really stood out to me were the wanna-be-black white guy in the B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. who relentless cracked me up; and the apparant boss of the underground who has a white wisecrack every other line (so sad its funny). The goofy black boys working for him breeded a few funny one-liners. And let's not forget that scrumptious General's Fried Chicken :) (my mouth was watering, it looked might tastety!)
A few characters that I didn't like -- that one guy working for The Man that kept falling into hip-hop as if he were under hypnosis. Oh, the black-lover chick I could have done without.
Basically, it's harmless comedy, and it's on video now, so it's worth a gander at least.

My sister rented this movie for us to watch and I was surprised - what a laugh riot!
I couldn't stop laughing at this movie. Eddie was hilarious and making fun of all the blackploitation movies of the 70's was just bang on. Good fun! :)
