With the first 3 seaons being released on DVD, I was curious what everyone thinks of this seminal 80s cartoon/toy line.

My favorite character of all time had to Omega Supreme.

My favorite was SOUNDWAVE, the boombox guy.

my fav was Hot Rod, he was pretty cool when he got the matrix and turned into rodamus prime too.

Speaking of The Matrix -- How many of you think the writer's of that movie had seen TRANSFORMERS: THE MOVIE?

I mean, the similarities are amazing.

Matrix of leadership allows you to go beyond the normal physical limitations. Thou who conquors the matrix is the new leader.

Just an observation. I hadn't seen T:TM for ages, but when seeing it again, after The Matrix, I was a bit like, "Hold on a minute..."

Yeah, it wasn't a movie, just a two part episode.


Man... I had taped that episode when it originally aired, complete with old GI JOE commercials, and old McDonald's commercials with the big moon that sang Calloway style. Then someone broke into my house and stole my vcr and tapes -- They got that one!

Argh!

Thankfully, in 2000 I replaced them, but it would have been cool to see those old commercials.
