Ok, the real MTV problem

Since the originator of the last post doesnt want to talk about why MTV sucks, i will.

I am 24 now, and i MTV has sucked since the mid to late 90's. They started veering from Muisc videos, and when they do play them now(usually late at night) the y are all the hip-hop and rap crap. Last time i checked there was more music out there than hip-hop.

Also Carslon Daliy has got to be the most boring person ever, and why during the top 10 videos do they have to cut in on each video, i dont want to hear people on the street screaming or what Carlso freakin Daily thinks about... well anything really.

I hate MTV, give me the Gameshow Network or ESPN Classic anyday. oh and VH1's behind the music is cool too. but they dont play a lot of vidoes either.

Yeah, VH1 is superior (if only for the fact that every show on that channel has to do with music). Even their reality show (Bands on the Run) had to do with music! MTV couldn't even do that right! Still, complaining about it is a waste of energy. Do what I do, and don't bother watching it at all. Being oblivious to MTV's existence is the most constructive way to protest.

Count, i agree with you , it is just too bad, becuase MTV WAS such a novel thing when it came out... it is like seeing a friend turn to drugs and destroy their life.... just sad.

Which is exactly true, that is why imoved it to a new topic... why the hostility? all i wanted to do was talk about the demise of what once was an and coming network...

I wonder if VH1 will do a behind the music of MTV... now that would blow my mind.

I completely agree. VH1 is far superior to MTV. Because MTV when it comes right down to it only has maybe five shows on dealing with music. Lets face it MTV is a pit of crap if your looking for a real music station. They waste half of thier air time with stupid shows like Sorority Life, Road Rules, Undressed (RIP), Fear, WWE Tuff Enuff, Tough Enuff 2, Tough Enuff 3, WWE Sunday Night Heat, Dismissed, and innumerable others. VH1 rules.

Well, MTV is okay. I watch it for some of its shows (Dismissed only cause I like watching these morons make fools of themselves to win a date with some other moron; Undressed when it was on cause it was so bad it was entertaining; Daria just 'cuz) but hardly tune in periodically.

I for one enjoy all types of music so MTV's music selection doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, watch MuchMusic or VH1 or whatever.

Viacom owns MTV, VH1, Nickelodian, and some other chasnels that arent so popular, I think Porche was joking around because I laughed :D
