I'm kind of angry at the Emmys. Why did John Larroquette year after year keep on taking home the Best Supporting Actor In A Comedy Emmy? I know he was good but was he that good that they couldn't give anyone else a chance?! I mean we had great supporting preformances from Woody Harrelson, Geroge Wendt, John Ratzenberger[Cheers] and Malcolm Jamal-Warner[The Cosby Show] and many others. Did it really take 5 years to let someone else win?!? I think alot of more people were deserving. they could have let him win for 2 years then let someone else step up to the title. I know it is such a late time for this topic but i just had to get that off my chest.

Woody Harrelson did win a Best Supporting Actor Emmy for Cheers I believe, in 1990 or 1991.
See, after four or five wins Larroquette actually withdrew his name from consideration. That's why other people finally started winning. The Academy absolutely adored him and his performance on Night Court and he could have won one for every year it was on had he not withdrew himself.
I have only seen his show sporadically but what I saw of him was, to me, Emmy-worthy, maybe not worthy of five of them, but still worthy.

I know but after a few wins do't you think the Emmys would have been considerate enough to withdraw his name to let others win? i'm just saying I think that's kind of wrong from The Academy, although he gave a great performance.

I agree. John Larroquette is to the Emmys as Judi Dench is to the Oscars, only it's worse with Larroquette.
